Lol we've been blown away two times all season. The harshest critic of us I've heard all year. Harsher than Kane Cornes and Lloyd lol
Depends how you define blown away. We were beaten by Brisbane by 30 points for instance but we were losing by far more than that throughout the game.

Dont think its harsh to say we've been shit at all. Nor do I think it's harsh to say our first half of the season was so, so much better than the back half.

Good tackle & 1 motion, Dangerfield was two. Should be cleared as an unfortunate accident, but will get the Koby Stevens suspension for a similar thing

Interesting. Would have thought it's only a week.
As I said last week the system is shit. I won't shy away from the belief that Dangerfield did nothing wrong and I don't feel Grundy has really done so either. Neither had the intent injure the player, both were accidents and imo good tackles.

But here we are in this shit outcome based system and the outcome for Brown was worse than Kreuzer. Both were concussed but let's face it a hospital visit is worse than sitting on the bench. If this gets less than 2 weeks then I will be rather upset at the lack of consistency.

Also, slightly OT but the lack of comments from this boards small minority of trolls about Grundy being a thug has been noted. UnitedWarrior93 was right about the trolling.

Oh yeah forgot the Brisbane game. Three bad performances for the season then

How does Grundy go for that? Player has ball, and Grundy is basically on top of him. If anything it's a free for in the back, but the concussion is just an unfortunate accident. There's no slinging motion.

Because he knocked out the player. If you pin the arms the duty of care is then on the tackler.

I kind of agree with it I guess.

Grundy tackle is a free kick for in the back under normal circumstances, player had the ball and was all one motion. Think he will get a week for consistency due to the concussion and the Dangerfield outcome though.

Personally think Dangerfield's tackle was far worse in terms of the player not having the ball, and him forcing Kruezer to land head first. Brown's concussion caused by that whipping motion which is less avoidable for the tackler.

Whipping motion? Grundy pretty much dumped him head first, arms pinned.

Look i think it's the perfect tackle, and I and a lot of people I talk to thought the same with dangers tackle, but he has to go for that if Danger did and McCarthy etc, we all want consistency yes?

Last week it was an outcry for danger to get suspended on here and he was getting called a thug.

You genuinely think we've only had 3 bad performances this season? o_O
3. Port away. Brisbane away. Geelong two weeks ago.

Bulldogs was frustrating but Levi missed a shot in the last which could have put us right in it. Richmond second time around was pretty ordinary but they've proven to be a good side no shame in going down by about 4 goals to them. Round 1 against them was worse but I had extremely low expectations back then.

What else has been over 5 goals? Freo over there when we had 1 on the bench for a half of footy. All the rest we've been in winning positions in the last quarter so hardly bad performances for a side many expect to be 16-18th

Brown landed flat on his front with his chest hitting the ground before his head, Kruezer landed head first on an angle. There is a difference between the two and they are more comparable in terms of the outcome (concussion) than the tackle itself.

If anything Grundy's is more similar to the McCarthy one with the difference being Brown still had the ball.

Disagree, the injury shouldn't dictate the punishment. You can knock a player out by kicking the ball into their face, should that be a ban? Duty of care on the kicker etc.

This. Which is stupid.

How about round 1? That was pathetic. Both games against Richmond really. Round 4 was bloody awful. Gold Coast up by 45 points before we kicked 3 in junktime.

You're confusing close results with good performances. We've been 'in' lots of games that we were never going to win. Round 2, round 4, round 9, round 10 (we caught North but we also gave them a 50 point head start), and then the Bulldogs game.

Just because we were close in margin does not mean we played well.

Perhaps it shouldn't but it does. Which is why he's in trouble.

I'm all for revisiting that at the end of the season but I wouldn't want them to change things now.

I don't think it would be changing things to not ping Grundy for what was essentially falling in Brown's back. I don't think it's all that similar to Danger at all.
