Only just seen the incident(didnt watch the game), but he shouldnt get anything for it.

But in saying that thats the third time hes gone studs up on one of our players in the last 3 games. Hes not doing it by accident. Scummy little player, but a great little player too.

Haha yep. Would come cheap - only interested if Casboult goes though (which they think he will).
If we somehow get compo for Casboult it's a great outcome. Pick 18 would be amazing. Pick 37 would be not bad either. Pick 37 would probably be enough to get Redpath

Players have used their feet forever to protect space and go for an aerial ball. Problem is foot made contact high and he has a reputation. If it was anyone else it'd be less than 50/50 if he got weeks

Yeah we are but last time I checked, that didn't allow for boots in faces.
If you kick someone, sure. He didn't kick. He stuck his foot out to protect himself as he leapt for the ball. Absolutely no issue with what he did. If he gets any sort of suspension it's yet again punishing for the outcome not the action which is ridiculous.

I'll ask my question again from last week that was ignored, if you kick the ball into someone's face and knock them out, should you get done for that? After all it causes concussion and is a "dangerous" action. But of course not, because kicking the ball is a normal part of the sport. If you stick a leg out to guard your space or protect yourself from a player coming in then why should that be any different? He doesn't guard himself and for all we know he gets completely floored by Dahlhaus taking him out mid-air. Keep in mind it wasn't a mark so Dahlhaus had no reason not to come in after Greene took possession.

At worst he gets a week because he got him high. Intent was to protect himself

Yeah I'd trade Red for Casboult

Casboult can at least mark the thing which is what we've lacked up forward all season (we haven't had Boyd down there either, he's been rucking or out with his depression). Red on the other hand is just a hit up full forward. He's not very strong aerially so you'd want him to be your second or third forward.

Our whole team can't kick for shit except Dickson, so Casboult would fit right in.

I dont get your interest, but you are welcome to him.
We need someone to replace Casboult in the short term. Can't rely on McKay SOS and Curnow when they're all under 20 without an experienced tall forward.

Can he pinch hit in the ruck?

Don't think Greene gets anything, imo if it wasn't for his reputation it would barely be being talked about. Jarrad Waite has done that kick out motion for years when taking marks and never been scrutinised (although he never kicked anyone in the face IIRC).

It's a sideways move for both clubs, Casboult possibly the best mark in the comp but cant kick, Redpath not as good in the air but a better kick. Don't think the trade is worth it for either club really.

Hes not mobile enough to be anything other than a straight lead from the goal square old fashioned FF. Though his hands arent great and hes crap below his knees. Has the turning circle of a cruise ship too.

He cant ruck either.

Why not just keep Casboult who is twice the player?

Structurally it is for us if Bev just wants to marginalise Boyd as a ruckman.

Nothing in the Greene incident for me. Eyes always on the ball, used his legs to protect the space, unfortunate that Dahlhaus got hit in the face.

If it was like... Roughead that it happened to, it would've got him in the chest (approx) and it wouldn't have been blinked at. As SM said, this would be punishing for outcome and not the action.

I know someone will say my argument is shit because if you tackle a short player high then you can't say "yeah but if it was a tall bloke it would've been around the chest" - but that is a very different situation.
