i cant remember seeing a series where both sides had such bad batsmen across the board. glaring deficiencies, lack of skill, temperament, yet this weird air of arrogance across both sides.

Add another 50 runs, set them around 330 to win, we should get it done.

Been a strange series, batting wise that is, both sides just bog average in that department, apart from Smith who is in a league of his own, head and shoulders above the rest.

Getting easier to bat on now

Really need to break this partnership up, otherwise they'll have a sniff

Real old school test cricket yesterday, great viewing. The game is set up beautifully, still think it’s say 70/30 in Australia’s favour. But a big partnership from Root and Stokes (the key wickets) and anything can happen.

England really need to do something about the top order. Those openers are walking wickets.

The atmosphere there looks/sounds fantastic.

The scoring rate and wayward bowling is a big concern. Although it just takes one wicket to change the entire scenario.

when its your day it's just your day. stokes barely mistimed a thing, the shocking review, lyon drop, harris (although bloody difficult) drop, the horrid joel wilson striking again. but ******* hell.

can this nation stop crying enough and do what needs to be done and remove paine? cape town happened, they copped their whack, stop playing a bloke cos he's a nice guy. sh*t with the bat, passable keeping, horrid reviewer and doesnt know how to set a field. no thank you.
