Depends on SA. If they leave some juice in the pitch to help Philander (who’s rubbish on flat tracks) then Bird will be useful. Very competent bowler when the ball is moving.

He’s a slower version of Bird really.
Not sure he’ll ever make the step up, he may get games but that lack of pace rules him out for playing test here imo. Look what MMarsh’s 130km trundlers get us. No wickets.

Yeah Bird and Holland are imo.
Bird has the most wickets at a very tidy average and economy and a genuinely elite strike rate.
Holland would top the list if he’d played 5 games.
