The Association Football Cricket thread

Honestly, what is the point of the continuing existence of the Redbacks? Not only can they not produce any decent cricketers, they allow the likes of Harris to stat pad against them giving selectors a false sense of security that they're test standard.

In fairness to Harris, he's been pretty consistent since moving to Victoria.

India didn’t look like they would get near our first innings total, now, baring a collapse, they’ll have a lead.

Very poor series by the aussies, India have shown us up even if they don’t win the series.

Regardless of what happens, have to tip my hat to the effort of India here. I thought they’d be skittled soon after Pant was out.

A couple of young blokes in their first/second match having a red hot crack, massive respect to Shardul and Sundar. Had a bit of luck amidst some excellent shots, not going to begrudge them of that though. India absolutely deserve some luck after what has happened this series.

I am here for the India series win with a depleted side. Would be marvelous, even a draw would embarrass the Aussies.
Their ability to grit it out and come up with massive efforts with all these injuries is making it hard to support against them.

I'm hoping for a 260-290 target that would make a very winnable test for both sides.

An Indian win somehow would be incredible. Quite amazing what they’re even doing right now given the circumstances.

Washington and Shardul getting it done again. Siraj getting plundered early but coming back with 2 quick wickets. They just don’t go away or give up. Magnificent to watch.

Warner was plumb. Caught on the back leg right in front. Surely he knew that was out, but reviews it. Smith as well, blatantly out. Off his thumb, which is what he seemed to be saying to Green. And yet again, another review wasted.

Both seemed like they weren't going to review but their junior teammates convinced them to have a look. No idea why with Warner's one. With Smith it made sense since his hand did go off the bat right after the ball hit the thumb, he wouldn't have known for sure and at 5 down he was the only chance to get the run rate heading upwards.

Yep that rationale is all fair enough. Looks a bit silly though in hindsight when both are clearly out. Lucky there’s that extra review this series.

Ive been checking the weather forecast, seems to be a bit of rain about this last session. Let’s see.
