I have a few questions. According to this the sniper who killed Crooks was using .300 or .338 bullets. These are big game bullets used to bring down elk, moose and bears. So Crooks was lying on his stomach firing when the sniper put that bullet right through his face apparently. Wouldn't that size bullet leave a much bigger hole in his head? His face is intact. Or did it in fact hit his neck or something?

Also how did his AR-15 end up so far away from him? He was holding the gun against his cheek with both hands. Try lying on your stomach and throwing something to your side with your left hand if you're right handed. Not easy. Even harder when it's a 5 kilo rifle and you're throwing it 10 feet sideways.

Turns out a Butler Police sniper fired a shot at Crooks that hit his gun, damaging it. At this point Crooks tried to get away (or back up) before the Secret Service Sniper shot him in the head.
