Strange that you seem to be the only one who's heard of it.
I thought he was meaning Brandt derangement syndromeSorry, who?
Shorten electric car aspirations will surely only influence voters on the cusp of the green/Labor divide, see Toyota who have 18 years in the hybrid car market, dismissing electric power for Australias #1 selling motor vehicle the Toyota Hilux.
Of course virtue signallers all will move to electric vehicles foe photo opportunities, just need someone to put their money where their mouths are - where are we know :https://www.caradvice.com.au/car-news/topic/industry-sales-results/
Interesting too who know where electric trucks are up to: https://www.tandlnews.com.au/2019/02/05/article/electric-trucks-are-the-way-to-go-alc/
If Bills electric car announcement moves one vote I'll be amazed, even allowing for the fake news discussions that surrounded a non - event.
Electric trucks is already happening. I know someone who is managing fleet conversions as we speak for several national name logistics firms.
Motivation is purely financial, it's cheaper to convert and run on batteries for the lifecycle of the vehicle
Roger that in trucking, heard a few anti the suggestion (if one lot is for it, the other lot is against, no investigating or understanding), & to a journo/commentator they had NO idea.
I'm not anti electric cars, just cynical about the why of the aspirational %.

IKE TURNER your response?
HMM that graeme wood donation might say otherwise. You can criticise the Greens for a lot of things - loopy lefties, watermelons, hopelessly naive, whatever - but at least they are principled and haven't yet sold out their soul to the highest bidder. A lot of Parliamentarians protested when George W Bush visited the Australian Parliament but Brown and the Greens were the only ones to also have the same level of protests when Hu Jintao visited shortly after as well.
David Leyonhjelm was easily the most principled politician in the country, but he never got credit for it.You can criticise the Greens for a lot of things - loopy lefties, watermelons, hopelessly naive, whatever - but at least they are principled and haven't yet sold out their soul to the highest bidder. Being against Israel's settlement policy is not being anti-Jewish. If anything, stopping the Israelis from having millions more Muslims in their territory is more likely to keep it as a Jewish state.
But you knew all this already, and are just being disingenuous so you can take a shot at a party that you don't like.
D as DSBeing anti Jewish is offensive full stop, don't dance around it, stand up to it.
or at least be honest about it unlike most of the left.
It's been framed that any questioning of Israeli policy or support for their opposition is anti Semitic. It's clever but stupid.
