International trade and property right agreements

The TPP is simply the unification of trade and property rights into one harmonised agreement replacing the many in place
The TPP hasn't gone into effect, and until and unless you point out a specific part of it, or any other agreement, in which compensation is to be awarded to Adani, I call bullshit. Adani isn't receiving direct funding for the project unlike with East-West Link, nor have the Queensland or Federal governments been reported to have signed a compensation deal against taxpayer interests like the bastards in Victoria did.

,Shorten has already said he wouldn't cancel Adani because of the sovereign risk this year. Adani has spent somewhere north of 1.5 billion they also entitled to some calculation of future profits this could be massive. Even if Bill legislated the previous trade agreement before the TPP between India and Australia has an ISDS clause in it that Adani can take off shore to an international tribunal and we would get royalty screwed to an even higher figure.

With the Phillip Morris fight over plain packaging cigs vs Australia they didn't get billions only because Howard refused to Put an ISDS clause in the US free trade agreement

Some of the issues are discussed here at lefty central press
