Yep that's the one.

Gary Ayres is a second time round coach, but with no breaks in between jobs.
Reflection is the most important part of learning. With no "reflection" it is hard to recognise mistakes let alone fix them.

I dunno Sheedy seems be doing OK and Williams hasn't had a break for a while.....

I'd rather Wallace than Eade.

Wallace is a very good coach especially on matchday. At least he gets the best out of his players and his side plays attractive footy. Eade on the other hand is the most negative coach. He floods a lot and if that fails he floods some more.

I would rather keep Ayres instead of appoinint Eade. Wallace should probably be the number 1 option.

You've hit the nail on the head. That two years out of the game to reflect on mistakes made and analyze what the 16 AFL coaches were doing was the making of Matthews and Blight.

Wallace will be an even better coach IMO this time round.

I know one thing for sure, Jerome would be stoked if in fact Jonas was coaching us next year.
For sure!

I like this story. It's a good rumour...but I think that's all it is atm.

If it comes true I'd be thrilled! Not gonna get too excited just yet.

If not...good to see Jonas coaching ability is being recognised. I think he is coaching the Swannies reserves and they are sitting in 4th spot in the NSW/ACT AFL.

I would be really surprised if anyone knows what the true story is at this stage.

If Jonas is that good at player development, wouldnt surprise as an Adelaide boy, to see him as part of the panel next year.

All I see ATM is some cage rattling.

I can catagorically confirm that AFC has approached Jonas but NOT for a head coaching position. They want him at West Lakes next year as a development manager.

If we get him for this role I would be STOKED.

My understanding is that we are SUPER keen to get him for next year. AFC feel that youngsters haven't come on as well as expected and I think thats a fair assesment. We have a few youngsters who are showing some real talent but are not improving at the required rate.

AFC are throwing everything at Jono and I reckon Sydney will find it hard to keep him. I don't think that overall our recruiting has been THAT bad but I reckon the development has been a bit ordinary. Cream does rise to the top but some players need guidance more than others and thats where we fall short.
