1. Tom McDonald is shot. Put him down back where he can be led to the ball.
2. Tomlinson can play as 3rd tall and ensure Lever really plays that 4th best defender. Where he excels the most.
3. Salem on the ball. Why hasn’t it been done?

Best I can think of right now

Fritsch has been playing like a numpty recently. Flying for marks he has no right to, giving away that 50 (sigh) and his set shots this year have been poor.

I love the bloke but he needs to play the percentages and lead up at the ball carrier more. We switched him to the backline against Port and I wonder if the coaches are getting tired of him too. Could see him being dropped actually.

Sack lunch sounds like a movie Dwayne Johnson would make if it was real life. The chess player in me is intrigued by checkmate. Not a big fan of action so don't think I want to watch death blow.

Are you are Vincent or gene man??
Prognosis negative? Sums up Melbourne....

Melbourne Supporter so you know it's Vincent; The Pain and the Yearning :thumbsu:

Agree, he's been ******* useless at ground level as well. Basically playing as a short tall.

Dropping McDonald makes no sense whilst keeping Brayshaw. McDonald isn’t getting a touch because it isn’t kicked to him properly. He should actually be at CHB, clearly the forward job isn’t working that well.

Weidemann and Fritsch is enough, we need TMac down back for support. We need two key defenders to allow Lever to be his best. And Oscar is not the answer.

Int: Salem(playing midfield) Vanders Hunt(did he ever deserved to get dropped? Is not useless at ground level unlike Fritta, can lead up at the footy, gives us some good pressure with his pace and effort too). The last spot can be raffled between the rest of the list as long as its not another bloody inside midfielder(Sparrow) or another tall forward(TMac, Brown, Preuss).

So I think that ends up rounding out to:

Out: Brayshaw(just not clean enough in the dewy conditions and needs to build some form) Kozzy(injury) TMac(been dropped already I think I would've rather dropped Weed but Goody already made that call) Sparrow Fritta(if he can't hang onto marks when the footy is a bit wet I'll take the extra pressure Hunt offers.

In: Hunt Vanders Bennell Tomlinson Rivers

That's a proper axe that makes us cleaner around the footy, quicker, with better decision making too.

Try Mitch ******* Brown. Jackson hasn't earned a spot yet either
Jacko presents and is quite clean at ground level. A nice 2nd tall option to have given its likely going to be dewy again. We simply need Weed to start converting. He gets so many easy chances; Josh Kennedy would have kicked 20 in the last 4 weeks had he been in the side ahead of Weed.

If we have one tall forward just not missing from pretty easy angles our forward setup looks more than fine.

Apparently Kozzy is in doubt due to some ankle injury. He probably needed a spell anyway.

Spargo was an emergency last week so could be in line, if not, Bedford?

I hope Goody realises you don't have to be under 175cm to be a pressure forward.

Ricky Petterd was one of the first real specialised pressure forwards for us; he was 185 and he could kick a goal too.

Hunt applies good pressure, I'd like him in the team. I think Bedford/Spargo are slightly different. You probably want Spargo around HF kicking inside 50, maybe same for Bedford(not as good at ground level as the other two doesn't really have great goalsense). I think 1 for 1 Kade Chandler would be the in if it has to be a player below 6 feet tall, but otherwise I think Hunt makes sense.

Would not mind Harmes playing deeper forward either.

If there is only one change Goodwin is taking the piss.

How the * could you not make statement after that absolutely pathetic performance last week?

Simon "players coach" Goodwin.....doesn't want to get offside with the "boys" coz he might need them to stand up for him when the board try and sack him later in the year.

Grow a set of balls you cuckold. Stop letting the tail wag the dog.
