The Back Six for 2013

Otto, Truck, Shaw
Radar, Talia, D-Mac

Otto has to have an injury free PS and Shaw needs to get those hammies right...but as many have already posted it is a backline that has a bit of everything.

Smith will still spend some time down back rotating into the mids. Also Crouch, Brown and Kerridge might get a go at various stages in the year to play off the HB line.

The rebound from Radar and Mackay are vital next year and Otto and Shaw can both play tall or small. Next year will have to see the grooming of our new FB or CHB depending on where Talia's best position is.

It's funny how Otten has come full circle. At the start of the year he was a lock for the backline. Then we wanted to trade him. Now, most want him in the back 6 again after 1 good finals game.

I don't agree with both Otten and Shaw in the backline, it has to be one or the other or it's too tall at the back.

Shaw - Truck - Radar
Smith - Presti - D-Mac

That gives us stability, speed, and good rebounding 50 disposal efficiency.

Question. When Reilly was playing the loose man in defence this year what position was he playing? The only way he can be a loose man in defence if he's playing back pocket is not to man up on his forward. Not happy with that. Would need to be playing further upfield and dropping back to do this role.

Another question. When we traded Mattner what did we get in return?

Pick 28, which was Shaun McKernan.
