I dont normally listen to 5AA as i vote labour and support the Crows so no matter what time slot nothing on their for me. However comming home in a cab before i heard some female say we are fast heading towards the sport show and they will have a ashes update with Lehman would love to hear what he thought of Ponting and Katich they played excellent test match cricket something he never did

A Crows supporter that votes Labor. Maybe the stereotype isn't true.

Still I am sure if AAMI stadium on a Crows matchday was an electorate it was blue ribbon Liberal seat.

Well the Poms get the draw, only got ourselves to blame really.

Bowled Johnson for to long in the last session. Gotta take my hat off to Anderson and Monty for holding on for the last hour.

****ing England, bringing on the 12th man and physio when there's like 20 minutes to go to eat up the remaining time  We deserve to win this but we won't. We have one more over to bowl them out or it'll be too late for us to bat.

Ironic considering how much the Poms whinged a few years back when Zimbabwe did the same thing to them to avoid defeat.

nice.. been on the hilfenhaus bandwagon for 3 years now.. have no idea why he was dragged after he got the swann breakthrough though..

i said before the test johnson wouldnt be anywhere near as good in england.. cant swing the ball.. only ground he'll possibly get lots of wickets at is lords, because the slope will help him cut the ball and get more bounce.. hauritz was alright, still crap though.. would rather have mcgain bowling over there, would have been a handful on the last day.. ponting's captaincy left a lot to be desired again.. some really bizarre field placings/bowling changes

also, hope doctrove isn't umpiring the next test! and those stupid bias commentators.. it was even worse in the warm up test.. asking to get north on strike for every ball cause they said he looked crap

was shattered I was pleading at the tv for one more wicket!! when Colingwood got out I thought we had it in the bag!

why didn't we try to plast monty's stumps out of the ground Id much rather face a spiner than a fast bowler!

You have to think what the batsman would least like to face.

I don't think Anderson and Panesar would have been too fond of facing 10 overs of throat balls and sand shoe crushers.

Then again the utter tripe Johnson was dishing up, I am not surprised he wasn't used.

Siddle and Hilf should have boweld all of those overs.

Maybe should have declared after Haddin got his ton after all they were 2 for at early stumps may have been 3 and a night watchman in

Rain forecast 2 out of 3 days at Lords Friday And Saturday

We did very well to extract 19 wickets out of a pitch that saw the opposition fail to get us out once. Good signs for Lord's which suits our bowling attack far more than Cardiff. :thumbsu:

Some shocking dismissals on day 2. Five Aussie batsmen out playing pull shots already. Our tail enders need to stick around to try and do what England's last wicket partnership achieved: some momentum. We can still save (and possibly even win) this test, but we are going to need some big partnerships in the second innings.

Ponting is the worst bad sport in international cricket. Having a sook about being given out caught behind, when it was absolutely plum LBW anyway. He also tried to claim a catch that clearly bounced. He is a complete w@nker of a bloke.

How different (and better) is it watching the cricket and actually barracking for Australia?

We went for years just hoping that the opposition would put up some sort of a contest to extend the tests beyond 3 days. It had gotten boring. While it sucks to see England winning, the cricket has again become compulsive viewing.

Looks like we may be in for a good night of cricket.

209 needed with 5 wickets in hand. Clarke on 125 and Haddin on 80.

If the Aussies can have a good morning session and not lose any wickets – this could become another nail biter.
