The Bathurst 12 Hour thread title has been changed. It should be noted though. That during last year's race, JUBJUB contributed a grand total of 1 post. On top of that, his first posts about this year's race was to complain about Channel 7. So what he's getting so precious about the original title, I don't know?
But if you think that'll clear the sand out of his vag, just wait til tomorrow. Last year. The 12H was on the week after the super bowl. This year, it's the day before, and it's on the same network. So Mark Beretta's going to be mentioning every second break. It wouldn't surprise me if the race commentators, who spoke about last year's SB during the coverage, give a bit of a preview during tomorrow's race.

Super super lap by Giz, I expect to see him bolt tomorrow only to make a horrendous error.
I really like this event, in time it will sit just behind the F1, MotoGP and Bathurst 1000. Love that Daytona Coupe too

He does some very dumb things at times, plus early leaders rarely win
Anyone else up already? It looked amazing for the first few laps in the darkness, it is pretty light now though. The Maranello Ferrari was spun of the first lap.

Yep got up bright and early to see the start. Audi lack of straight line speed is interesting, McLaren and Mercedes looking good early with Giz smashing the lap record (race).
Two contenders out of the race on same lap. The Objective McLaren and one of the Jamec Pem Audis, really bummed about the Objective McLaren

Well, I've missed the first two hours. Which cars are legitimately in front, not because of pit stops? Which lead cars have suffered adversity? What going on with in the smaller classes?

Andrea Montermini in the class AA Ferrari 458. Not only do I remember driving for all the weak teams in F1 during he 90s. But I remember him finishing 4th at the Detroit Indycars in 93 for a very small team.

Not that I was attached to a team. But I think I'd prefer the Kane/Smith/Bell Bentley get up. For no other reason than it gives Guy Smith a career Le Mans/Bathurst double.
The #31 Bentley just took the legitimate lead. The Tekno McLaren were in the lead and driving away but they stuffed up their pit strategy and didn't pit under safety car.
The Objective McLaren which was in second at the time crashed out in the hands of Warren Luff. The Maranello Ferrari was spun on first lap and damaged. The red Jamec Pem Audi with Mies, Haase and Mapelli is also out. The Phoenix Racing Audi isn't out but is absolutely no where.
