T20 is ruining the longer forms of the game, even in senior weekend cricket they play midweek T20 games for season league points on Tuesday nights instead of training.
I'm watching a little bit of the T20 recently and partially agree and disagree.

I agree with regard to the batting because the batting side of T20 is, to be generous to T20, somewhat unorthodox.

However with regard to the bowling side it is actually quite good for their development.

Amstaff_ needs to pull his head in, or else he's gawn.

But yeah, stop sooking flogs, it is after all a football forum. The general understanding is that whilst cricket conversation won't be discouraged, it'll be confined to either here, or Gingy's thread.
Fair go it is the off season. It's not as if he's the only one making shit threads. But he's the only one getting banned! Shame Fyfie_, shame, shame, shame!

It is funny in regards to batting when Hodge can just stand there and play generally normal cricket shots and lift the rate. But yeah, agree on what it does for bowlers.

BBL also works for generating both interest and money. ODI cricket has generally carried that load for a long time in most countries, but the series' are generally long and meaningless. It'd be better if there was less ODI cricket, and international T20 remained at the numbers it is now (a 2 or 3 game series), whilst Big Bash stayed at a sustainable number (the current format works, no need for expansion of teams or seaosn length yet).

I went to my first game of 'cricket' on Tuesday night to watch the Scorchers. I have little to no interest in the other forms these days, but I've loosley watched and followed the BBL for the past few years. Would've been nice to see some shot played though.

No one (besides Duritz ) will be getting infracted for making an off topic thread. Amstaff_ is struggling to grasp the entire Mod abuse situation. It's straight forward enough for 99% of other users on this site to understand, be he just doesn't get it.

Finish was good though, Scorchers never should have won that. :p

Yeah it was pretty good. My brother got WACA membership tickets so we were 2 rows back right behind Hogg for those last couple of shots. Luckily Ararfat saved his best over for last, gave away enough wides in his earlier overs. Coulter-Nile obviously finished pretty strongly too.

We thought the game was over when Shah and Malik (?) were getting pretty comfy in the middle, but the Hurricanes choked it up pretty well. Which I was happy enough with as I don't like Bollinger's fat head.

It's "should of". The correct bay pronunciation is "should of".
:drunk:

Perfectly understandable that.

But yeah, awesome choke second BBL one this year in Perth, first it was the Renegades, and now the Hurricanes. One club run by the president of Norf, the other from their second home, clearly choking in Perth is a Norf related thing.

WTF? How long til we find out that he's been siphoning funds from his cricket club to cover Norf's debts?

Scorchers should be 0-5 or 1-4 instead of 3-2. More escapes from jail than Heath Scotland.
Bit harsh, that Eoin Morgan Runout in the game against the Thunder was pretty minor on the scale of Sydney Thunder f*** ups.

I doubt he'd be that brazen, but look for cross-promotional photoshoots between Renegades and Norf players, with JB smiling off to the side with his putter.

Yes and no, I guess it teaches bowlers the defensive side of things when batsmen hit out to use variety etc the bouncer, yorker, slower ball, fielders are always in the game too but yeah imo the negatives outweigh the positives. With batting the positive thing is T20 has perhaps taught the 50 over batsmen to attack when the chips are down say you need 100 from the last 10 overs but still get up and win. Anyways.
