The groundsman chooses the strip. It is actually a decent batting strip but Johnson is the difference between the sides. Also remember that there was only 1 significant partnership in the Aus 1st innings, so there is definitely something in the track for the bowlers.
Warner is on 63 and he was dropped 3 times and about 40 of his runs came from edges and false shots, so once again it suggests that the pitch is a good one for test cricket. Peterson as usual has been rubbish and is unable to build any pressure. When the Aussies bowled, Harris, Siddle and Lyon build up pressure which allowed Johnson to strike. The SA support bowlers have not built any pressure."
