How about those SAF'ers... so down, so down.

Pup, he was as determined as ever in the post match. He cops a lot of shit, but as a captain he's like Warney would have been - ruthless. He'll chase every head he can cut off, and rightly so. He captains the national team of a country who take unparalleled pride in their sport.

Four day break now till next test.not that the Aussie bowlers toiled to long, but will enjoy the break.

Loving cricket again.
I understand that, but I've always loved it. I obsessed with cricket from a young age, I wanted to play for Australia. I of course at some stage realised that wasn't likely (when I turned 37, last year), but my love for Australian cricket will last all of my life, as will my love for Australian sport in general. I tell my many, many children that they're born lucky, and I try to make them realise how fortunate they are; at the end it we're all blessed in that respect, and to be able to live a free life (taken for granted by us) and a life of fun... we're incredibly blessed.

So to turn up to the MCG on December 26, with all those people... count yourself amongst the luckiest on earth.

How about Graeme Smith's presser? "I firmly believe that the pitch had a lot to do with his wickets," he said, and to paraphrase also said something like "and the stats back it up, even in the Ashes his wickets were mostly tailenders."

What a flog.

I guess Smith didn't see the Adelaide test

hell of an innings from mccullum against india today and yesterday, 19 runs from the first 300 by a NZer. massive partnerships with watling (record 6th wicket) and now neesham on debut. went from 94/5 facing an innings defeat to 571/6 and 325 ahead. i know india arent a world beating test side right now, but impressive showing from NZ without taylor in the line up. smashed the ex-no 1 side in the ODIs, now this... good luck to them.

I had the pleasure of watching this when I got home. I've always like McCullum. Has a crack. Really hope he gets to 300, rapidly gets the score to 350 in front, and then they smack those Indian campaigners back to the stone ages.

It's great to watch the Indians struggling, especially after that first test loss where they got screwed on a couple of umpiring decisions (their own fault since the cheating Syds don't like the DRS).

Plus what's not to like about the Kiwis, they have a genuinely good batting lineup these days, bowling lacks punch, but cricket is better with more teams competitive. Could nearly throw a blanket over 1st-7th in test cricket now, been a long time since that was last the case.

yeah, ive been loving following the india/NZ matches, in light of how well NZ are going... love a genuine underdog playing like they are. williamson, taylor, anderson and mccullum are all playing beautifully right now. agree with your whole post.

did anyone here catch that rain delayed ODI NZ v WI where NZ smashed 300 odd off around 20 overs? anderson hit his 100 off about 6 balls.

Their only problem is that they are Kiwis.

There bowling is better than their batting. Southee, Boult and Wagner would probably be the 3rd best pace attack in the world currently. They lack a decent spinner though since Vettori is permanently injured

Checked in after Cricino told me he'd broken Afridi's record (never thought I'd see that one disappear), proceeded to watch the Windies spud it up with the bat. :p

Yeah, I based that on the spin department, I can't see Vettori ever getting back to test cricket in anything resembling his past form.

Their quicks are good, but still lack a bit of menace, fair gap between 2nd and 3rd when it comes to pace bowlers.
