Reckon White's time has passed. Faulkner would be a real chance if he'd made the most of his shield appearances this summer. I wish they'd drop Watson, but unfortunately now Marsh is injured it doesn't appear to be the right time. :(
There's not many young players putting there hand up to be fair and he's the same age as S.Marsh and over the last couple of seasons has been in good form. Left field choice but not without merit.

Hazlewood gets his wickets because he restricts the runs so much that the batsmen is lured into a rash shot.

Complete opposite to Johnson who basically risks runs for wickets (hoping they don't get the shot right)

Ian Healy has identified Starc's problem as 'getting hit for boundaries'.
Starc's main problem is that he should work on his batting over his bowling and filling a Mitch Marsh role because his bowling is shithouse.

His batting was much better during I think it was the Ashes or another tour where we got a half-century or so batting in the tail.

I'm not sure what's happened to Faulkner. His batting has improved, but he's basically been the 4th/5th bowler for Tasmania. Might make it at test level at some stage, but is too much of a bit-part player right now.
Yeah, he's got that inbetween problem where he doesn't earn his spot on either batting or bowling. That said, Watson has the same problem currently.

But Marsh was a poor choice, you don't rectify that by picking another 31yo. If you're going to go for unproven player, go young.

yet, if Warne says anything he gets abused. For simply being honest
Who abused him?

was he? Averaged 45 over last Shield season and the start of this season combined. Very similar to White who is around 44.5.

Of the guys who feature high up on the runs list either last season or this season.

There are openers/no.3 batsmen in Cowan/Burns/Quiney/Bancroft/Stoinis/Ferguson.

Older players in Forrest/White/Marsh/Voges/North

Wicketkeepers in Carters/Whiteman

And all rounders Christian.

If we rule out the wicketkeepers as we already have one. Who are you going to pick to bat at 5?

He is talking about Shaun not Mitch regarding the 31 year old. unless im confused regarding what you're saying about batting at Number 6 (because I thought Mitch Marsh bats at 6.)

Whoops typo meant 5. But with fitness concerns over M.Marsh there could be another spot anyway.
