When Tiramanne got out, he had to be the one to escalate, by that point he'd faced at least 30 balls. Instead he left it to the two new batsman to try and get the scoreboard ticking over, that's how new batsmen get out. You can't park yourself up one end in a limited overs match and leave all the work to the other guys, it's not a test match.
Had he gone after them then he probably would've still got more than he finished with, and he might have even found some touch out there that took him to a higher score. Instead he let f***ing JP Duminy dictate to him, the guy doesn't even turn the ball, he should've been bullying the pie chucker.
If you're going to defend Sangakarra's efforts today, I bet you loved what Paul Collingwood did in the Adelaide test years ago?
