Yep but there's not much else Aus can do. Unless we open with Clarke & bring Bailey back in
Or Mitch Marsh. I have been saying Clarke should open for a while now. #WhackItWatto is another option, which would keep stability in the middle order with Clarke at 4.

I hate to say I told you so, but Finch is a walking wicket. Scores this World Cup: 135 (dropped first ball), 14, 4, 24 (dropped early), 20 (dropped early), 2 (close to plumb first ball) and a selfish waste of a review.

Coming to the business end of the tournament, he's only going to face better and better bowlers, who are getting a lesson in dismissing him every time he bats.

Yeah not looking forward to Finch in the finals. I like Clarke as an opener, and he did a fair job of it last game. Sure it was v Scotland, but he knows how to play the situation. I love Marsh, and honestly I think he would bat great against the better teams, but I feel like we won't have enough slogging power in the lineup if we're chasing a high score, hence why I'd go for Bailey.

Marsh is as good a slogger as Bailey, with the bonus that he doesn't take 30 balls to get going. Clarke has an excellent record as an opener, as does #WhackItWatto.

Hmm Watto's doing pretty good at 6. I don't wanna risk him turning into a spud again by playing him up the order. Now's not the time to experiment with that

That's the thing. It's probably too late to dump Finch. It will be interesting if we win here, he fails again in the semi but we win.

They'll back him because the final's at the G.

Even Watson wouldn't have reviewed that lbw, apart from the ton Finch scored against the Poms when he was dropped on nought he's been shizenhousen.
