Harris to Cook, OUT, bowled him, first ball, that's a beauty from Harris! Oh my, this is sensational, the ball shaping back and flipping the off bail, not even a single delivery's respite for Cook. The crowd goes absolutely nuts and well they might, nothing can go wrong for Australia at the moment. Cook maybe played a little inside the line, hoping the bounce would save him but it was a terrific ball, hinting at inswing and then nibbling a fraction to ping the bails

AN Cook b Harris 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
The teams are back out and there'll be no mercy for England. Ryan Harris has the new ball in hand...

NBA, Woodville,
got home from work just in time to see the onslaught. Great to watch. Ducked out to get some beer, and come back to england 1/5. Life is sweet right now. Barmy Army nice and quiet!

The only chance England have is if the ball gets lost down a crack and they run 500 while we attempt to find it.
or if Johnson, Harris, Watson and Siddle all break down with injuries.

I'll be surprised if the Poms can last until Day 5.

Do you REALLY expecting England will send out Broad with an injured foot when England still need +300 to win for the last wicket ???
Story is he's batting. I hope it's true. Just bowl either at his head or his toes. It will be a dream come true.

Some pommies are as deluded as Essenscum flogs

"You Australians just aren't used to appreciating the finer points of fast bowling, with your bog average journeymen like Harris and Johnson. Let me enlighten you, Jimmy did not get 'hit out of the park', he was baring his teeth by showing extreme skill and accuracy to place the ball in the correct spot at high speed in order to allow the Bailey ad easy 28. Thus keeping him in the side for the inevitable thrashings that England will mete out at Melbourne and Syddy"

"Stokes proved today what me and other experts knew 5 years ago. He is the greatest natural talent in cricket since Warne and Lara (Tendulkar is far too robotic to be a natural talent). He will end his career with a 40+ batting average at a strike rate of over 80 and a bowling average of under 30. World class talent.
With Stokes, Root, Ballance, Bairstow, Woakes, Taylor, Finn, Mills, Jordan and Dockrell/Briggs all coming through, the Ashes will be England's from 2015 to 2030!"

Maybe Essenscum should invite the barmy army to their Chrismas party.

LOL at Bairstow and Finn.

Also, good to see there's no plans on changing their unique selection policy.
