Tell me about it. A couple of quiet ones after work yesterday turned into a 130 buck beer and gambling session. So mad at myself, the whole day's pay gone! Lol

Depends on the break up
Beer 125 and punt 5 well that sounds understandable.
Other way punt 125 and beer 5 - that's just a waste of important drinking funds

Good thread. I enjoy coopers pale as my go to beer. I'm not a snob though and love a cold carlton draught, especially on tap.

How about a shout out to popular beers we dislike? I know a lot of people into homebrew or craft beers tend to despise VB. I once heard a customer in a homebrew shop ask the owner "how do I make VB?" and the owner replied "squeeze a cat". Personally I think tooheys extra dry tastes like pool water.

I love Coppers, just an easy choice or go to when I can't decide.

But I always have a method to the madness of the plainer beers like tooheys or xxxx etc
Cold! glass etc then it's still ok
Cold is the key to me

Probably 50-50. Once I have a few I always get a brainiac idea hey if I can have a win on the punt my beers will be free. Doesn't often work that way...

Your beer genius is a pleasure to read.
I did have a beer once in Belgium (local thing) in a big round glass with their specialty meat dish and to say divine would be a gross disservice, the combo was perfect. Still can see it right now.

As a rule agree.
But I was in great dilemma when Tooheys New sponsored the Melbourne Cup, and it ad the beer at Flemington.
I sort of felt a bit of support to the sponsor was ok.
Now the sponsor is Emirates, so phew no more dilemma

I used to like Tooheys New but you can't get it in Victoria anymore. How long has that been that way?

Most pot drinkers can't tell the difference between Carlton and VB. I shaft my mate all the time with VB.

Was going to say this myself.

When I spent some time in NSW/QLD it was my drop of choice but that was a long time ago.
