Cameron Mooney is the proud owner of a 1999 edition premiership medal despite having the stats of no kicks, no marks, no handballs, and conceded one free kick....it may not make him a better player than Gary Ablett, but heck, he's had a more successful career.
I may be biased but i still thought Greg Williams was brilliant at Sydney.But i saw him play for Carlton in some games and yes he was slow but could he get the footy.I don't think we will ever see someone who could get the footy as much as him again.
Also i live near Moorabbin and Tony Lockett in full flight was something to see back in the old days.Problem is the league has been around over 100 years and i'm positive no one has seen all players who have played.So there must have been alot of great players of differant generations.Maybe the question should have been best player of past 10 or 20 years.
