I've got a lot of fond memories of Neita in his 299 games, but one of my favourites was against the Hawks in Round 1 2003 IIRC.
Cleaned up Luke McCabe, picked up the ball and slotted it from 30. Classic Neita. Another great one was from 55 on the boundary line against the Saints last year in Round 10.

This is Sparta!!! Oh wait wrong 300:p

Neita is the lifeblood of this club. One of my all time favourite memories is the record breaking game against the Saints last season and he kicked a bag.

A true hero and champion

Yep, what an acheivement 300 !! That shows resiliance and dedication to his club and he will be remembered as an all time great.

Having said that it makes it sound like his last game lol, I think that he can go on another year, or 2 but not as Captain and possibly not as full forward.

He has a role to play grooming our youngsters, so as long as his body holds up NEITA YOU DA MAN. Well done Champ.:thumbsu:

Tried to find that McCabe bump on YouTube to put in the 1st post of this thread but unfortunately isn't on there.

It was the perfect clip to describe the great man though, tough and inspirational.

Poor Luke never recovered.

Was it the 2004 season because I couldn't find it in the 2003 one, or was it 2002?

I wouldn't have thought that he has the body to play anywhere other than out of the goal square.

9 against the tiges in '04, when he kept giving it off to not get 10
and the game against Brisbane in '02, he had practically the whole brisbane backline of leppitsch, michael, et al to contend with and he absolutely smashed them, brought us back from 8 goals down to win by 4 goals, really showed what a leader's meant to do that day

I. Just. Love. Him!
I can't wait I really hope he can find some form this week and slot a few in a big win for the dees!

That Brisbane game was gold it was one of those typical boring Sunday games were Brisbane just breaks the opposition and Neita was just killing it. I remember in the last quarter he took a diving mark and slotted it from 45 on the boundary was just vintage Neitz. That whole game was awesome hehe :thumbsu:

The game against St Kilda was big and he put on a big show to go with it (8 goals).

He represents everything the MFC should be about.

Going back quite a few years, but i remember he was dominating so much against the Roos one day, they had to switch Carey on to him.

Another one of my favourites was in that Brisbane comeback game when on the 3/4 siren (i think) he nailed 65m torp for a crucial goal.
