At least its only a wrist though, shouldnt stop him missing too many games you would think
The thing with a wrist/arm injury, it may take 4 weeks for the injury just to heal, he'll still be able to to keep his fitness up and stuff but when he gets back on the pitch, he might think twice about going into a challenge where he might need to use his hands to break a fall, it can really cause problems with your mentality (speaking from experience).

Paul Anderson was carried off with a suspected broken/dislocated wrist in Forest's FA Cup game this morning.
Yeah. Disappointed with that, because he was looking quite dangerous in that second half.

Certainly wasn't his best game, had a very quite first half on the right side of midfield.

In the second half they moved him to the left, where they were getting raped and pillaged in the first 45, and it made a huge difference. Some of his best work came in a defensive sense, did a great job tracking back. Then used his explosive pace on the counter.

Exceptionally quick, and likes to run at defenders. He's not ever going to be world class or anything, but I think we'd be silly not to use him in the squad for a few years and see how he goes.

Which I think is the plan. As we rejected a lot of permanent offers for him last summer straight out of hand. I like his pace, and I like his intent.

Personally, I think Hammills got a better chance of making it, as a regular first teamer anyway, but I do like Anderson, and think he could be capable.

Just think Adam, while lacking the pace that Paul has, has a bit more to him, in terms of intelligence, technique, ball retention and delivery.

Well...

Insua played 90 minutes for Argentina on Friday night.
And what a tournament.

He's absolutely torn it up by the sounds of it. As expected.

He has no need to be there. Older, and so far ahead in his progression than most of his teammates and opponents, it's just a joke.

We're ridiculously disadvantaged, while he goes off to the other side of the world and thrashes what are generally a bunch of inexperienced kids off the park.

Great stuff. Not his fault really, just the club being pissweak as usual. Should've dug our heels in for once.

Chelsea made sure dirty hack Di Santo didn't have to go. Be nice if we had some balls for once.

Would Anderson give us anything more than Pennant or El Zhar wide right though??
Definitely laughably better than those two.

Seeing as Hammill is back now, would be nice to see him on the bench for the derby. Be great for a local lad to debut in a game of such high importance to people of the city.

Yep, we've really lost out a lot.

We currently now have an injury prone left back struggling for match fitness and sharpness, when Insua was arguably our best player in the 3 or 4 matches before he went away.

If Aurelio goes down, we might have to rely on Dossena playing at LB (hopefully not) but we also have Carra or Airblower can step over to the left.

Maybe the senior management had a word with Insua and persuaded him to go, telling him it will hold him in good stead for a cap with the senior team in the near future?

Adam Hamill :thumbsu:

The wave of the future. With Pennant going out on loan, it's a good chance for Babel to get more game time, possibly playing wide-right (although it's not his preferred position)... The more game time he gets the better it will be for the club.

In a 4-4-2 formation anyway, if we play 4-2-3-1 which we bloody well should now that Torres is fit again, Kuyt will start on the right and Riera on the left, which leaves Babel back on the bench.

But it's about time someone stands up and becomes accounted for on the right hand side. Dirk has gone back to shit house Dirk from last season after having a storming start to this season.

Reina, Dossena, Skrtel, Carragher, Arbeloa, Mascherano, Alonso, Babel, Gerrard, Kuyt & Torres.

Cavalieri, Hyypia, Riera, Aurelio, Bennynoon, Lucas & Ngog.

Looking good. 4-2-3-1 (except Dossena plays).

Interesting to note that Keane is not even on the bench.

Rumours are that he has walked out on Liverpool.

Good.

I've had enough of the little shit.

It's not even the fact he's playing like a dog, it's that he's acting like one. His attitude is a disgrace.
