The liberals are responsible for the only existing sovereign fund built off mining profits.

Would seem their policy to do it again.

If they followed the Norwegian model where governments could NEVER draw down on the fund, but only use a small % of the dividends and they increased mining tax…. Id support them.

Well they got half of it right the first time.

It is locked via legislation and can only be used for its original intention (guaranteed super liability from public servants on pre 1992 earnings) however that need is diminishing year on year.

I know they werent as visionary as the Norwegians, but it was a decent start from a single capital contribution.

Gina has nothing to do with it. Personalities aside Gina, Palmer, twiggy have at least kept there companies nearly completely Australian owned and are some of the highest tax payers in the country. Australian companies like BHP others minors, banks and supermarkets are mostly foreign owned BHP, Rio, Woolies 90% yet people ignore that fact and continue to try and bring town successful people regardless of how clown like personalities are
