How long til Klopp sacked?
Klopp blamed himself for our recent form, but the simple answer is we don't have the players at the moment and our owners are not willing to even provide a loan player. Klopp has his hands tied.

Klopp has done a great job in unprecedented circumstances.

I see frustration from himself with other clubs splashing the big bucks and frustration from Fab at being shoehorned into CB full time. Not good having that around the squad.

Unless FSG have a magic potion to heal VVD thsy simply have to sign a CB.

Click bait.

It's never happening. He'd destroy the wage budget and you cant have him coming in on 400K when most our top players now are only on around 200K. Would be a huge slap in the face to all the players who got us to where we are.

He'll only ever end up at Madrid.

He is the best player in the world, we could fit him in on 300k + incentives per week.

I have followed the saga closely. PSG have thrown everything at him. 700k/week and he still isnt signing. The lad isn't motivated by greed otherwise he signs the contract on offer right away

Reliable sources in France say he wants to join us. Real are far worse off financially then we are. We are in with a chance.

Would do it, ya know, we'd need to qualify for CL first

Jurg's greatest task before he leaves is to replace the front 3 eventually, we love them but it's something that has to happen if we wanna set ourselves up to winning leagues for the next 8 or so years

Losing our 2 CB's and our in form forward have put us in this precarious position. We need to finish top 4 or else we will be put back years in building another team capable of winning PL and CL titles. Who here thought we could overturn the 3-0 loss to Barca in the 1st leg last season ? This team has shown it can overcome adversity when everyone has written it off.

I think the long-term impact of missing top 4 is a bit overstated, tbh - provided it is a one off. Tottenham had no trouble bringing in several good players in the summer transfer window, despite missing Champions League qualification for the first time in 5 years. And United spent huge sums on McGuire and Wan-Bissaka in the 2019 summer window, even as they were preparing for a Europa League campaign.

Not qualifying for next season's UCL would be a hit to our finances, for sure - but provided FSG was prepared to absorb that loss and invest aggressively in the squad to lift us back into title contention, we'd have no trouble attracting quality players, especially ones in their early to mid 20s who have plenty of years left to make a mark in Europe. We're a huge international brand after all.

We'd only become a less appealing prospect if missing the UCL became the norm, rather than an exception. That's the difficult situation Arsenal have found themselves in, having finished outside the top 4 for the past four seasons and counting.

Man City - 9 points behind at one stage.
Next minute- 7 points ahead. Yikes

Whole season has been topsy turvy

United fans wanted Ole sacked after he failed to get them past the group stages of the Champions League just over a month ago and now he is the new messiah

Same with Arsenal and Arteta. Stay the course. Now Arsenal can’t scoring and just 5 points behind West Ham in 4th.
Chelsea on the other hand has swapped with Arsenal and in free fall.
The aim should be top 2/4. Must take that champions league spot. We can’t win the league with the squad we have if FSG refuse to buy anyone.

One of Gomez or Matip has to go in the summer. Cannot carry on like this with these 2 very injury prone players.
It will be Matip. He turns 30 this year. Gomez though when he gets back should be our 3rd CB.

Been a fu** up all around from top to bottom tbh, most of us here would've thought signing a 4th CB was important

Should have retained Lovren for another season if that was their thinking. Yeah we dont get a 11m fee for him but that seems peanuts now considering what has transpired.

PSG want Matip. Suspect he goes there once we sign a couple of CBs.

Straight Swap for M'bappe

And then he wasn't :p

Sounds like Hendo and Matip fit for Spurs. I have no idea what to expect to be honest, our away record is dismal (13th in EPL) but Spurs might actually be easier to beat away as hopefully they don’t sit back as much.
The turnaround starts tomorrow!
