Wouldn't mind seeing peoples best 11 for Premier League and also Europa.

PL:

Reina
Johnson - Carra - Agger - Koncheskey
Raul - Gerrard
Kuyt - Cole - Jova
Torres

Jones, Fabio, Maxi, Babel, Ngog, Poulsen/Lucas, Pachecho

Think it's a very solid 11.

Defenders: Solid back four, with Koncheskey, IMO an upgrade to Insua. Interesting to see how Carra's legs go, as Ive seen Skrtel look pretty solid this season. Johnson, needs to continue to push forward and give us a good ball in the final third.

Midfielders: Raul from what Ive seen is a very good box to box type midfielder. Gives us something going forward as well, which is a bonus.
Kuyt, as much as people would rather see Johnson on the wing, it wont happen. Jova, first 3 games he has been a little iffy, i think with the addition of Koncheskey, a natural left back that will be a bonus for Jova.

Forwards: Torres, do i have to say anymore?

Bench: This is where our problems usually are, we don't have enough players to come off the bench an make an impact. I'm tipping Babel to make a impact on our team this season, as he has a bit more responsibility and will get more opportunity's up front. N'gog has shown us he can score goals, and Maxi really is basically our depth for the wings. Hopefully Dani get a few appearances this season as well.

Still would've loved a left winger though :(

Show the JPG file to Roy

2 pure defensive midfielders in big games is fine... and those 2 are the best we have unfortunately.

Look its not horrible im just seriously dissappointed we didnt bring anyone in late.

Will seriously test the depth of our squad as the season goes on. Hopefully, wishful thinking, Babel will flourish in that striker position and prove to be a new signing for us really.... Ngog can do it now to he needs to step up.

Also where will Pacheco be best for us? Attacking midfield? striker? Or could he play on either wing... maybe there could be a spot for him to play on the wing and get some games before he moves into a bigger role....

Doubt there are any other youngsters that will get much of a look in besides Kelly... Or is there someone???

Side i would personally like to try for normal games:
Reina
Johnson Carra Agger Konchesky
Gerrard Meireles
Maxi Cole Kuyt
Torres

And big games or tricky away games:
Reina
Johnson Carra Agger Konchesky
Meireles Poulsen
Cole Gerrard Kuyt
Torres

I like Kuyt on the left, he played the whole world cup tournament there so why not.
Really not all that bad but our squad depth will be seriously tested.

If I was the RH this would be my preferred lineup in Premier League games.

-----------Reina-----------
Kelly--Carra--Agger--Aurelio
----Meireles----Gerrard----
Johnson---Cole---Jovanovic
----------Torres-----------

Jones, Skrtel, Lucas, Konchesky, Poulsen, Babel, Pacheco

Carragher and Agger are our best central defensive partnership. Skrtel could have given away three pens against WBA last weekend. I like Aurelio over Konch because of his ability at dead ball situations. Kelly at RB because he is a fantastic young defender and it releases Johnson to play a more advanced attacking role wide right.

Meireles and Gerrard are probably our best two central midfielders but im not sure it will work. Meireles is box to box and Gerrard loves to get forward so we might not have anyone sweeping up in front of the back 4. Cole, Jova and Torres pick themselves in there respective positions.

Off the bench we have Skrtel as central defence cover and Konchesky as a back up full back. Lucas and Poulsen are the central mids covering Gerrard and Raul and perhaps Poulsen comes in for Raul if we need a more defensive mid. The attacking talent on the bench comes from Babel who can be a terrific impact player of the bench and the super talented Pacheco.

I did that off the top of my head and have since realised that the squad doesnt include the Greek, Kuyt, Maxi or NGog. Maybe I need to rethink it.

Reserves played a 0-0 draw with Wigan Reserves

Liverpool Reserves: Hansen, Flanagan, Robinson, Irwin, (cap), Mavinga, Darby, Amoo (Mendy 65), Spearing, Saric (Cooper 43), Pacheco, Eccleston (Palsson 79). Subs not used: Bouzanis, Roberts.

Next match I believe is Carra's testimonial on Saturday. Owen's going to play in that game after getting permission from Fergie.

Like the idea of it and this would be what I'd do for home game as well as long as Jovanovic can get close to the touchline, if he can't then I'd consider playing Babel in that spot for home games.

Probably take one of Lucas/Poulsen out for Ngog on the bench, don't want Pacheco to make way but one of him/Babel would probably lose out to Kuyt.

Kelly won't get forward as much as Johnson so having Lucas/Poulsen starting is, imo, not necessary for home games (bar Chelsea/Utd/Arsenal/etc). For away games, I'd probably bring one of them in for either Meireles or Cole.

Interesting that has happened but I would of rather Glory let Fowler play in it than see Owen return.

Dont know why Owen wants to play in it. He will not be greeted warmly by the Anfield faithful. I mean, he is aware he now play for the Manc scum right.
You know what he's like. It's all about the Owen show - he still thinks he's never done anything wrong, and he never will. Shafting us before he went to Real, and the moving to the Mancs. Nothing wrong with anything he's done in his own eyes,.

Should at least be playing on the Everton side, if Carragher was that desperate to have him there.

Hope Judas Owen breaks his legs anyway. Be fitting. :thumbsu:
