It really is a case of picking your poison with Chelsea being the lesser of two evils.

It really does hurt not being in the hunt this season especially after coming so close.

I know I should be hoping Chelsea win tonight but it feels horrible, can't seem to do it. Not as bad as Man Utd or Everton but still feels awful supporting them.
If it makes you feel any better, I feel dirty and wrong hoping citeh get something out of this...

Well Chelsea couldn't do us any favours so we will need City to drop some points against some of the lower sides like they have been.

Well yes, it should be a win, but having watched a replay of the Unirea game yesterday It seems like our vulnerability to corners/set pieces has returned. It was horrific. We really could've used the Greek for Blackburn. (Never thought I'd say that).

Remember our earlier game against Blackburn? BOMBS AWAAAAAYYY!!
Typical Allardyce shite. I don't mind the idea of Masch as an emergency RB but I think we have to go with an underdone Kelly as he'll give us another 'tall' in our defence. I think he's been groomed as more of a CB than a RB anyway. Darby (remember him?) is another option.

Come on Benitez, we MUST get 3 points. Please play 2 strikers.

Pepe
Kelly Carra Agger Inusa
Benny Gerrard Masch Babel
Kuyt Torres
I try not to

Tip: Don't use Justin.tv unless you want to change channels every 15 minutes. Watched a game last week and streams were getting deleted like crazy.

Use Veetle or alternatively TVU Player/Sopcast

Team vs Blackburn:

Reina, Mascherano, Aurelio, Agger, Carragher, Lucas, Gerrard, Benayoun, Kuyt, Rodriguez, Torres. Subs: Cavalieri, Aquilani, Babel, Insua, Ngog, Kelly, Ayala.

Masch at right back.

Why the hell is Rodriguez starting? Babel is 100 times better than him and he has been in good form recently.

Why is Kuyt in the hole behind Torres anyway? Very strange lineup which may cost us.

Aquilani may aswell be sold if he isn't starting with Masch at right back.

Blackburn started off better than we did, but after the Gerrard goal we really were dictating terms.

Shame Pepe didn't save that penalty, that was really close.

Their hoofball is still causing us problems so we will have to score again just to feel safe.

Well we somehow managed to not give that game away. Hate this going into shell, sitting on the 18 yrd box game that we seem to play when ahead late in the game. It's cost us far more points that continuing to attack would have.

Not sure how we got away with that. Really hanging on towards the end there. Blackburn played well and were unlucky to lose. We struggled to deal with their long balls all day. Important win though.

That was a crucial win.

Great save by Pepe at the end from Sambas header.

It is great having Torres back without him carrying an injury.:thumbsu:

We have to question Aquilani's role in the squad now, I think he will be sold in the summer if this continues.

3 vital points, but man that last 30 minutes was terrible. Good thing Pepe came up with the crucial save, though he was poor in the air this game.

Good to see the Gerrard-Torres combo working again. Maxi was a bit more involved this game, though he still didn't really do anything of note.

Thank God we don't have to play Blackburn again.
