I just loved how Woy decided we'd just play on the counter and sit in our own box after half time

And the sight of Modric and co skinning Carra and probably the slowest back four in the league was painful.

Sure, we gave a good first half, but if Woy thinks it's enough just to give 45 mins of good football and be satisfied with it, then he is even more of a fool than he already is

Mid table is about all that old vile will offer, no clue how to win away games, the sooner we sack the muppet the better

I don't even wanna talk about Paul ****ing Konchesky, he should be the one with the popped shoulder, we'd be much happier

^ Well, I flew up to Brisbane to see Celtic, so yes.

Probably not going to be in Australia if they do come anyway, will most likely be in the UK for a fair chunk of next year.

I disagree, he showed emotion during the second half when we made errors or failed to attack with intent. We were screaming for him to show more attacking intent away then he has all year and he did last night, so I don't think Roy is the scape goat for last night. In fact I don't think anyone is, I was relatively happy with the performance just not the result tbh.

Good post. Roy had made mistakes this season, but I don't attribute any blame to him for last night's result. It's not Hodgson's fault that Maxi and Torres missed very presentable chances. We put those away and Roy's newfound attacking approach is hailed as a masterstroke. The team played well last night and if we keep performing like that, we'll pick up points.

LOL at people blaming RH for the loss, not much he could have done different to be honest bar telling Maxi before the game to shoot the ball when he's 1 on 1 not try and make it an obstacle course.

Also i found it pretty funny when Carragher had a fit when the Greek wasn't ready to come on.

It's actually a pretty good performance given the way we've been playing so far this season.
I don't see why Skrtel is playing when the big Greek man is available. I've said it before, Skrtel is the major problem in our backline.

There's a poll on .tv as to who should captain the side in the next league game.

Reina leads on 57%
Torres 2nd with 17%
Kuyt 3rd with 16%
Lucas 4th with 3%.

I'd vote a randy Norwegian lad stealing lollies from a supermarket personally. *Sigh*, I wish they had an "other" option.

Sort of expected, but based more on last season.

Just before the Spurs game he made more public comments about Liverpool losing players if we don't improve our league position. Not the first time he's done that recently. Sure, we all know what he's saying is absolutely true, but he should be telling it to NESV, not the bloody media.

Also, his form this season has been very up and down. He's had some great games (Birmingham,Chelsea) but some shockers too.

I'm suprised no-one commented on his performance last night. Absolutely filthy. Flapped at everything and had a goal line clearance to cover another error. That particular incident actually reminded me of the Wigan game when he pushed a cross stright into the path of Rodellaga. When you also consider the opening day howler against Arsenal, he's cost us as many points as he's saved this season.

Give Kuyt the captaincy.

I wonder if Roy's attempt to make him play more like an 'English style' goalkeeper is having an adverse effect?

I'd like to think so anyway, because I love Pepe and... um... don't exactly love Roy.

I love Pepe and I dislike Roy immensely.

But I want Torres to step up, I want him to ask for the captaincy.

He lead Atletico when he was just a kid, I just want him to show us all how much he loves the club, in the absence of the two local leaders of the club, the heart and soul of LFC.

This is Nando's time.

After his diabolical performance against Spurs he needs to be proactive. Taking the captaincy could be good for him and its not like he doesn't know how to lead a team.

His flick to Maxi was amazing, but as you say, apart from that, he was terrible.

Two golden opportunities missed. His general body language was poor too.

Oh a manager showing emotions is a plus now, is it? Then Rafa should've been shot when he had no emotion when Gerrard put the third goal in against Olympiakos or when Xabi equalised against Milan in the final. The old twat can scream around like a madman for all I care, he's still out of his depth.

Loved his "ah well" after Spurs scored the winner

He had the team attack for one half of football, got one goal, then decides to sit back, hang blokes on the crossbar and play like bats. Idiotic tactics, really. Yet people are pleased by that? That's how far this man has corrupted the standards. The sooner he goes the better.

I don't blame the loss on him, I am just very keen to point out his incompetence coz the longer we have this bloke in charge, the further we sink into oblivion

Personally would give the armband to Lucas.

There's not one game where he doesn't look like he wants to be in a red shirt, never complains to the media and his performances have stepped up the in the past month. He's captained the under 21 Brazilian team and also a game for us in pre-season, would be quite interesting to see him get it

It'll be given to Reina or Kuyt though.

Defending Lennon, Bale, Crouch, Defoe and Modric isn't an easy thing to do for 90 minutes with a defence including Skrtel, Carra(who was awesome) and Koncheskey.

Don't think Roy changed to a more defensive game, Tottenham just completely dominated us second half and when you miss 2-3 clinical chances in front of goal when you have the chances it's hard to blame that on your manager, I still want Roy gone don't get me wrong, but saying he went defensive is just rubbish, we we're actually lucky it stayed at 2-1 in the end as Tottenham just completely out-classed us and when you have a left back who doesn't understand the meaning of goal side it's not that hard.
