Liverpool are definitely coming.

It is supposed to be a similar round robin type tournament as last years involving Sydney FC, Rangers, Blackburn etc.

I can't find out who the other teams are at the moment but Sydney and Liverpool are locks.
It looks like I will be flying to Sydney then if this goes ahead. :thumbsu:

And I'm stoked at the news of Pacheco and Kelly signing on long term, best news I've heard for a while.

I dont think Kelly has the pace, delivery or the ability to take a player to be a RB. He is better centrally.
From what I've seen of him, he certainly has the delivery. Pace isn't awful, even though its not a strength, and I've seen him go for a few runs and shoot aswell. Not enough to say for certainty that he has the ability to take a player, but evidence enough to suggest he might

Liverpool eye Ryan Shawcross as Daniel Agger warns he won't be forced out!

Ryan Shawcross has emerged as a target for Liverpool - as Daniel Agger warned he will not be forced out of Anfield.

Shawcross, 23, has been watched repeatedly by Liverpool scouts in recent weeks, after Jamie Carragher joined Agger on the injury list, but Manchester United have first option to sign the Stoke skipper.

Agger, meanwhile, has been linked with Inter Milan and Wolfsburg and has not seen eye to eye with boss Roy Hodgson.

But the Dane is intent on staying at Anfield, saying: 'Liverpool can't force me out of the club even if they want to as I have got four years left on my contract. I expect Roy Hodgson to have the guts to tell me face to face if he doesn't want me.'
This story is from the DailyMail.

It is not the Shawcross link that makes me post this but the quotes from Agger himself. Basically Hodgson doesn't want him but wont tell him face to face.

Agger should be in the side week in, week out no questions when he is fit.

Hodgson, you are a donkey!

Agger's a freakin' centre back that doesn't hoof it, there's no place for that kinda creativity under Woy LMA.

We've been linked to Shawcross in the past when Rafa was around in his last season. Some speculates that he was looking at someone to eventually phase Carra outta the team, which led to player power (well two of them) being a major force in ousting Rafa outta the club. Then magically, Carra gets a 90k per week contract this season...

Didn't watch his debut against Lyon in the UCL then? He was amazing that night before getting injured, he turned their left winger/left back a couple of times before whipping two great crosses. While pace isn't his strength, it's not a weakness and he definitely has the ability to take players on - however, I'd still like to see him played in his preferred position.

I wonder if Pacheco was told that the man in charge now won't be in charge much longer so it's safe for him to stay...
Hopefully!

roy probably told him to hoof it, for the same reason he didnt play agger when fit.
Roy and his ****ing hoofing.

no surprises tonight? same old boring lineup? although the greek god should get a start!
With Carra and Agger out, it looks certain to be a Skrtel-Kyrgiakos partnership.

Gerrard is still injured; other than that, you'd expect the players rested for the Europa League (Torres, Lucas, Meireles, Kuyt, Johnson, Maxi) to come back into the side. Joe Cole started the Europa League game but I think he'll return to the bench here.

Babel needs to start ahead of Maxi and Cole. The real Fernando Torres needs to return this week if we are any chance of victory. Last weekends version must not be seen ever again.

I agree with this and if Ngog is fit to play, Cole wont start - but neither will Babel, unfortunately.

Maxi will play.

However, I think Ngog is still carrying an injury that saw him limp off last weekend.

Probably should get up for this one shouldn't I...... more Babel less Cole IMO.

Nice to see us trailing Connor Wickham from Ipswich. Would be expensive, but he's a huge talent, British, a Liverpool fan, and would have resale value.
