Martinez is not "big" enough. The leap is just too big. Pep would be nice but it hardly seems likely. Rafa is the favourite with the bookmakers I think...

I cant believe all of you guys thinking Martinez wouldnt be all that bad? Have you all gone crazy? He has nearly gotten Wigan relegated two years running. The guy has no experience at a top club. FSG are actually pretty smart blokes kinda figuring stuff out as they go along. They cant be that stupid to make the same mistake twice. Woy, then Martinez. Surely not.

Still no announcement though. When LFC refuse to comment means he is probably quitting, which actually means sacked, but to smooth it over with fans, it was a mutual parting of ways etc etc...

Wow this thread! Kenny is going nowhere folks...

But Liverpool supporters and the internet is a dangerous mix, everyone knows that we are suckers for news about the club and especially during the transfer window. Don't buy into the shite! Martinez lol.

Yeah official:

Kenny Dalglish has left his post as Liverpool manager.

The 61-year-old has paid the price for Liverpool's poor performances in the Barclays Premier League.

Dalglish's departure comes after he held face-to-face talks with principal owners John W Henry and Tom Werner in Boston on Monday.

The Scot had been expected to depart on holiday on Wednesday but he postponed that and remains on Merseyside.

The King is gone :(

Mixed emotions on this, he has done probably the second most for the club behind Shankly but the results this season have spoken for themselves and he had to go

All the best Kenny, you bought us one cup this year and came close to getting us two

The inconsistencies were too much to bare.
Up until the end of april 2011 KK had done well.
He finished off poorly in 2010-11 and started off last campaign extremely well.
But the draws at home and the losses they turned into signalled enough was enough.
Seriously we hit some all time lows and not even Kenny can survive that.
Fourth manager in 2 years now aswell.

Anybody willing to make a serious list of who we could bring in?

Despite the poor season and no CL football. Were still Liverpool Football Club and id imagine a lot of managers would love the job.

Seriously, Martinez and Rodgers is just a joke right?
I hope that is not the case and FSG have something decent lined up because I'm sure everybody here don't want a Hodgson situation here. The owners just gotta start ripping out the cheque books to attract big name managers and players because our name and carling cup and no CL means we have very little pulling powers. What's the go with Mourinho? Does he still want to leave Real?
