Id love Jose. He loves a challenge. He went to Real and this season finally broke the strangle hold Barca had on Spain. Job done. New challenge.

No bigger challenge in football than returning LFC to the top. He would relish it and no doubt accomplish it.

But complete fantasy. We would never get him.

It's assuring to know Henry will even sack club legends if things aren't going right.

First choice replacement would be AVB, if not Capello or Rafa.

Funny how people judge AVB off half a season where he was told to win with a squad he knew was too old to do so. If ou want to rebuild which we need to, AVB would be up the top of available guys.

Glenorchy, Arsenal,
The King is gone :(

Mixed emotions on this, he has done probably the second most for the club behind Shankly but the results this season have spoken for themselves and he had to go

All the best Kenny, you bought us one cup this year and came close to getting us two
I Strongly got to disagree there Sorry , I put Bob Paisley way before Kenny Dalglish in terms of Importance as Liverpool Manager and a Clubman some might even say he did better than The Great Bill Shankly
Won the following
Champions 6 Times, European Cup 3 Times, UEFA Cup 1 time, League Cup 3 Times

Won the following

In terms of what Daglish has achieved with the club
8 titles
2 FA Cups
5 League Cups
3 European Cups

This also doesn't take into account what he gave of himself to the club after Hillsborough as well.

Shankly built the club up to be what it is today and is a clear first, but IMO Kenny is second in terms of what he's done as a player, a manager and as a person as well.

A ruthless but nevertheless correct decision.

Really sad to see a genuine club legend sacked but it had to be done. FSG backed Kenny with funds last summer and he squandered it.

Also, since January 1st the only clubs with a lower points tally than us were Aston Villa, Blackburn and Wolves. 18 points in 19 games. That is simply unacceptable for Liverpool FC.

Since the start of April the following have been sacked; Director of Football, Head of Sports Science, Director of Communications and now the Manager along with (apparently) his Assistant.

FSG have proved they're not afriad of tough decisions. They face one hell of a busy summer. They have to replace all those off field staff as well as reshaping the squad. It'll be interesting to see what unfolds in the next few months.

A club willing to make the tough decisions to get things done and not continue to accept mediocrity?
Yeah and wait for the first run of bad results from whoever is put in (and they will come) how will we react then? Because if Kenny Dalglish can't even get time I despair for anyone else.

He spent a 120mil and we finished 8th with 14 losses.
Thats poor management.
He did recoup 80 million of that in reality he's spent 40 million in his tenure. I had the feeling that Kenny was gone if he didn't win the FA Cup which is fair enough. 8th would have been acceptable if we did the cup double but was absolutely unacceptable with just the Carling Cup.

So he got rid of 80 million of crap, then proceeded to spend 110 million on crap. Still 110 million of crap on our books, who played to type and finished 8th.

I love Kenny, and wouldnt have begrudged him another season to right his wrongs from this year, but i completely understand why FSG have made the decision.

And since the owners have **** all knowledge about football i'd be interested to hear who is advising them along this process.
I think the commoner on the street could advise them that despite a nice amount of cash handed over by them to buy players, we had a shit season and the players Kenny got with that cash were poor at best.
