As for the second manager to ignore him, simply Micah didnt deserve to play for England when Capello took over.

Consecutive managers pick Stewart Downing so probably not the best test of a player either.
Horses for courses. Downing gets a gig mostly because of his left foot. Plus when Downing was at Villa he was worthy of an England spot.

Different situation with the amount of quality RBs available. You have to be excellent to get a call up at RB for England and Kelly is top quality.

So let me see if I understand.

Martin Kelly is a beast. Underated machine. Yet you dont want to sign the coach, Roberto Martinez who would probably use and play him more then any other manager I can think off (would fit perfectly in a back 3 with 2 wingbacks).

Pretty ****ed up logic if you ask me

Yeh because picking a manager all comes down to their choice at rb. You shouldn't be one to talk about logic.
Whats that supposed to mean? I have judged Liverpool perfectly over the past 18 months in my defense. I

It comes down to using the squad he has to best effect. As I said before Kelly is merely one example of a player being used to best effect under a Martinez system. Glen Johnson would become three times the player playing as a wingback. Most people can see he is a wingback. Same applies to Enrique. His best football this season came with Downing tracking back and Enrique being the one further forward putting in the crosses. Once Downing started drifting centrally and sacrificing his defensive game to improve his attacking game (to disastorous effect mind you) Enriques form dragged down. If he is allowed to play forward more he will play his best football

Hendersons best work comes playing in a facilitator role. His best asset is his passing. He cant cross, cant dribble, but in a forward role next to Lucas who can give him the ball to pass he can play. Lucas would protect the back 3 very well too. His defensive work would stand out even more with Johnson and Enrique given 100% free reign to bomb forward. Not to mention a front 3 which is liberated by the fact it has 5 defenders infront of it. In Martinez system, Moses just drifts around and picks up the ball wherever he wants. Gerrard excels in that. Suarez can play wide where he belongs and the full budget can go into signing a superstar ST to accomodate this line up.

In this system your starting 11 is full bar the central striking role. You wouldnt need to spend money on a RW, LW because the two wingbacks play that role. All you would need is a ST and a few backups. Its fanciful to think 30 mill will get you into the top 4. You need to use what you have to better effect and Martinez will do it

I'm probably completely wrong, but how can you have a season as good as he did just gone and not even be selected in a pre Euro squad?
You're suggesting race plays a part in the selection of the England squad. Care to support that with evidence?
I said I was probably completely wrong, it was merely my opinion.

Most ridiculous thing I've heard.
My opinion.

And I don't think you're one to say other people say ridiculous things ;)

Not too far wrong. Richards isnt in the squad for the same reason Sturridge isnt. They are both complete and utter knobs
Richards has had his moments in the past but is pretty level headed, community spirited, hard working etc.

Sturridge is a nice kid who just happens to have a very high opinion of himself.

Personally I would have had both in the squad, and could see Sturridge making a return to City this summer. Especially if RDM gets the job.

England lineup could include Johnson (toilet seat thief), Terry (too numerous to mention), Gerrard (Phil Collins), Carroll (woman beating drunk), Rooney (granny shagger) etc etc.

Dont think being a knob would rule anyone out anyway.

Hang on, so you really do think it's possible that the only reason Micah Richards was not picked for Euro 2012 was because a player's race is relevant in whether or not he is selected to represent England?

Either back up your claims with evidence or stop polluting our board with your rubbish.

So Dave Whelan reckons Martinez has been offered the job:

Whelan has confirmed that Liverpool
have made an offer to his manager and a decision will be made within the next week.

The only sticking point would appear to be whether Martinez will be given the level of control he demands.

"I have just spoken to Roberto," Whelan told Sky Sports News on Friday. "He went yesterday to Miami and had a very constructive meeting with the owner of Liverpool.

"They're going to talk again on Tuesday. They've made Roberto an offer and he has agreed to consider it.

Shame. Was excellent for us from 06-09 and then become so injury prone he made Harry Kewell's time with us look injury free.

Another great piece of transfer business by Rafa to pick him up on a free.
