It can't be Klopp.

Quote: "I have been made aware of interest from England, and it is an honour to be linked with big clubs in the Premier League.

But I have a contract with Dortmund until 2016 and am going nowhere. I love it here and have no intention of changing clubs.
" 18th May.

I can't see him leaving a talented Dortmund side who are in the CL next year to come to Merseyside... even if they triple his salary. Who knows, maybe money might talk in the end.

So basically nobody knows what the hell is happening. Gone from AVB, Rodgers, Martinez to Klopp apparently having the job. Owners are taking there time, which is good. Football world will be focussed on the euros and we can go about our business.

hopefully Rafa is in their thoughts too, that makes around half a dozen candidates that our owners have been talking to. and you're right nobody really knows anything about what we're doing which is what I personally love to see. I've been sniggering at every article to do with us lately because it usually begins with "Wigan boss" or "Wigan chief says" as he is the only one telling the media anything. Of course, he doesn't know what he's talking about and seems to find it strange that Liverpool are looking at more than one human being for our managerial position.

Klopp or Deshamps and be done with it I say. I like how our club is back to doing things behind closed doors. When they have made a decision, we will be told. Simple as that. Im a little excited to be honest. Hope we make the right choice and start to be relevant again!

Yep. Makes sense too as thats the day the shirt sponsorship officially switches over from Adidas to Warrior and the 'Adidas' logo on the seats at Anfield will be repainted. The press over there are expecting the club to make a big deal out of it and unveil Warrior, the new manager (Rodgers) and the director of football (Van Gaal) in one go. Very exciting week for the club.

Getting Rogers would be only a marginal improvement on Martinez. He's been in top flight football with Swansea for one season, how do we know he can sustain that for longer and it wasn't just a flash in the pan. I can see this being worse than Roy Hodgson as Roy had actually had some sort of success at Fulham by getting them to the Europa league final. Rodgers has kept Swansea up for one season. So what?

Anyway, didn't he turn us down the other week?

He initially rejected the opportunity to be part of the larger list of candidates, not feeling that he was a genuine contender.

At the moment, he is a bit "flavour of the month" and that's why it's a risk. He doesn't have a proven track-record at a "big" or even mid-sized club. He could be the next Owen Coyle, who some on here were talking up as a potential Liverpool manager a couple of years ago when Burnley were doing well in the Premier League. On the other hand, he could truly be on an upward managerial trajectory and might thrive if given an opportunity at a bigger and better resourced club. I suppose that the skill is in being able to identify who is the "flash in the pan" and who is genuinely talented enough to make the enormous leap.

I don't mind it, sure theres heaps I would prefer but we can't get them so be it. It could fail but at least he had Swansea playing some attractive football. Woy just played with the same tactics as he did with Fulham, which were fine if you were just looking for a decent home record and the odd draw... not when you were looking to win every match.

I think Rogers would be an exciting appointment. Sure he's not proven, but he has experience working in a club fighting for major honours. And he plays a great style of football, which IMO is suited to a top club.

Question marks for me:

- Can he motivate "top 4" calibre players as well as he motivates those experiencing the big time for the first time?
- Can he spot a £20m talent as well as he has spotted budget buys? They are different animals.
- Swanseas away record from memory is appalling, is this a flaw in his game plan?
- Will Liverpool supporters give him a chance if he does get the job and things don't go perfect in the early stages?
