Plenty of teasing going on before the transfer window.

Was on twitter earlier and saw from LFC news accounts that Douglas Costa liked this tweet.

Also Ryan Sessegnon called Woodburn a baller on instagram then a bunch of people were telling him to join LFC lol.

I refuse to believe it's actually Douglas Costa, there's no a chance in the world he moves to us

Sessegnon on the other hand I think is nailed on to come

With Champions or Europa League added also Matip not always being fit I have no doubt he'll barely be on the bench.
True but if we sign a CB in the summer he will not see anywhere near as much playing time as he does now. At least when he isn't injured.

Manchester Derby ends 0-0

It's a good-bad result if that makes sense. Utd has to buckle at some point. Injuries, suspensions, fixture congestion mounting. It brings hope back to Arsenal, but they have to play each other, and both can't afford the loss. As it stands, both Manchester teams are ahead of us on points in hand, but I can't see them not getting the odd upset loss/draw, and I can't see Spurs rolling over for either... It's just up to us to maximise...Swansea in 2 days for Man Utd, who will be desperate for survival, now with no Fellaini, Pogba, Ibra, Mata, smalling, Jones, Rojo...and a fair few having to back up 2 days after a full 90. Plus at what point do they look to the Europa game that week and think "we need to prioritise this"?

Edit: Fosu Mensah injured at the end of the game too according to Mou...

Getting way too tight for my liking. Nervous about Monday against Watford. Shit time for it too.

Lovren will still play plenty. Just look at this season, Klavan was supposed to be out 4th choice CB and up until a few weeks ago, he had played the most minutes of any of our CBs all season. There will be enough to go around.

We just need to bring in very good CB to give us three really good options and the Klavan as good depth cover and Gomez as our younger option.

Far out some people in here annoy me.

Scream for depth.

Then when we extend contracts people complain about how they shouldn't be best 11 ect.

11 good players aren't going to win us a title or a cup. We need a quality squad to cover injuries and depth.
This season has well and truely proven that and that's without a deep run in the FA CUP and no European football.

Gerrard as Under 18 coach is boss boss. As we saw with Flanagan, having unpredictable players come into the team who are keen to defend physically can be a huge advantage.

Lovren has been signed until he is 31. Klopp is ALL about the long-term project (we hope that's the explanation for his seemingly slow approach to transfers and playing youth/players returning from injury). He's happy enough with Dejan as back-up. Sign a new first choice and Dejan won't have any leverage should he want to leave after a season or two of being 2nd choice to a VVD-Matip partnership, for example. And he has scored key goals.

Interesting that Klopp says you "can't train like crazy" at this time of year due to fatigue. So maybe having the weekly games compared to the other top 4 contenders isn't as big as an advantage as thought. He also admitted he thought the squad was strong enough to withstand injuries and that they're having problems.

And while I think the kit looks good on our players, I'm keen to see exactly how deep that red is. The first Warrior kit was 'Shankly Red' and I remember they claimed they analysed actual thread from that kit. This looks darker.
