I cant help but wonder if we have moved on from Dahoud now. Wijnaldum was bought for 25 million. Perhaps he was the alternative as it became clear that we couldnt get Dahoud. Rumours are we are still tracking him but having said that it would almost be overkill now.

I think a couple of things have happened which make Dahoud less and less likely. Lallana has moved into midfield and is prospering and Henderson has moved back to that #6 role and is also excelling.

As you have listed there that is Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Grujic and Lucas vying for those three midfield spots with Coutinho more in the front three. That's already six players for three spots. If Dahoud comes in, where does that leave the 25 million Wijnaldum?

Im not saying I dont want him, I'm just not sure where he fits in now. Of course he can play anywhere in that midfield three but Henderson is excelling and we know Klopp loves Can also. Lallana is playing extremely well and we know Klopp loves Lallana. Then there is Wij who we just spent 25 mill on.

I guess having too many good players is a great problem to have though right.

Wouldnt it be great is we somehow brought in Dahoud and Pulisic. :D
Remember Wijnaldum, Lallana & Coutinho can all play in the front 3, so it wouldn't necessarily be trying to squeeze 7 players into 3 positions as 3 of those players are also competing with Firmino, Mané & Sturridge for attacking roles too.

CDM: Henderson, Can
CM: Dahoud, Grujic
AM: Coutinho, Lallana
LW: Firmino, Ojo
RW: Mané, Wijnaldum
CF: Sturridge, Origi, Ings

Which is fair enough but it's almost overkill at this point isnt it. Although I dont care, I want Dahoud.

Would love to see him work hard, put in the effort and at least make it back into the squad for League and FA Cup games.
Ultimately I'd prefer him to Lovren if he can get back in Klopp's good books and play like he did before the ban last season where he was immense. Seems as if Klopp wants to give him a crack at getting his spot which can only be a good thing.

Re Dahoud. The question is though if you're Klopp and your sitting on a bit of warchest really, what do you spend up on? The squad looks pretty good (at least whilst we're winning) and deep. We know we're definitely scouting him and that even though Wij is okay in there you can definitely upgrade to a really skilled passing mid. After that its a LB.
Was wondering with Dahoud if we could offer Gladbach a massive offer, try and get it done, then loan him back for the season.

No need to offer stupid money for Dahoud. If they don't sell him in January he can leave for 10m in summer. 20-25m is the max I can see Klopp paying for him. Dahoud himself seems to be a fan of Klopp which will hopefully help us secure his signature over the likes of City who are sniffing round him too.

Less worried than the Hull game. It might be an early call but I hope we've gotten over losing to bottom sides.

Don't know if we'll smash them but surely we get the 3 points here.
