Why though? Sporting careers are short, if a player wants to challenge themselves at the highest level and doesn't think it's possible at there current club, why shouldn't they consider a move?
fair point. If Coutinho leaves for that reason I guess I cant begrudge him

Lots of things about the culture of soccer make me a bit queezy, particularly in player movement. It is what it is.
true that. sure is.

I can. You can't say you are leaving to chase success going from a title challenger to another title challenger. In VVD's ase he is going from a mid table side to a team challenging for trophies on multiple fronts.

Strong talk we will get oxlade Chamberlain as well.
Would be a good window with vvd and keeping cout
I'd take that.

Think we'll have another massive crack at Keita in the December window if Energy Drink Leipzig get bundled out of CL early.

Would take AOC & VVD in a heartbeat but both players are owned by clubs not prepared to sell unless for astronomical sums.

We really need to be looking at other options.

Phil - dont agree necessarily. If he said he wants to play in Europe (CL) and compete for the CL trophy/ success I think its a step above what we can guarantee
VVD - agreed.

Soccer is the ultimate pyramid scheme. All players start at some junior club and then every stop after that is simply a stepping stone to another level on the pyramid. And each level pays better than the last.

It's 5 mil to 7 mil of loyalty bonus, that's why his agent doesn't want to forfeit it
My point is it flies in the face of the whole loyalty thing. "I want to piss off and leave your club, but you should also pay me a bonus for being loyal".

Does not compute.

Part of the reason Barca told Neymar Snr to gagf after he tried to claim a loyalty bonus payment due start of August shortly before the PSG deal.
