Get stuffed. Checked the score half hr ago 2-0

Had a shit feeling pressing refresh.

Get stuffed.

I know the result means nothing but need to keep winning to run into next year.

U just know next year we'll drop early games and battle to finish 7th and sack the manager and the cycle continues.

seems like an appropriate reaction to a draw in a late season dead rubber

2 draws from our last 3 games *should* see us finish top 4, providing one of those draws is against Chelsea. We are currently ahead in goal difference by 18 goals...an amount they surely can’t make up. If we lose vs Chelsea, then we need a win and a draw from the other 2 games, providing they win out. Obviously 3 wins is preferable though, and 4 more Salah goals even better...although it is proving a bit of a distraction of late...

Ings was the big positive but sheesh, this is yet another game when a defensive collapse costs us, just like at Sevilla and Arsenal. I realize we changed 3 of our normal back 4 but I thought we'd got that shit out of our system.
Got a bad feeling that our game at Chelsea is now going to become pivotal and we don't need that just a few days after the 2nd leg v Roma.

We are in zero danger of losing top 4, no way we'll lose to Stoke or Brighton and we'll win against one of them easy as heck. Learned helplessness has given the fanbase a bit of jitters

League's been irrelevant for a long time to me, all about the CL

That may be the case but this draw has added some nervousness to our final 3 games especially when we have CL semis to worry about. Very disappointed we couldn’t take all 3 points

I’m not watching. Our worst performances seem to coincide with me watching or listening to the game!
You now need to switch off and forget about following us. We will update you once all our commitments are finished

Much appreciated Lebbo

My usual practice is to wake up and read this thread from where I last left it. The 930pm starts are messing with this tactic though. Thus, resulting in draws and earlier this year a loss as well.

Now that's the Liverpool we all know and love.

Also, Salah needs to have a word to that Egyptian flog for West Brom. Imagine he scrapes Salahs eye and he missed the World Cup. Dude wouldn't sand a chance if he ever stepped foot back home.

Also, clear penalty to Ings. No idea how that wasn't given considering the refs view of it.

Clear foul, but would've been considered 'soft' because the ball was a fair way away. That interpretation of rules is inconsistent, but it is sort of understandable because once the ball is away from any one person's possession then players may choose to run in different directions (e.g. Dawson might claim he was preparing to make himself an option for the WBA player who was going to get the ball). That's my best attempt at justifying the call as per the rules, but in real time it simply looked like 'the ball was a fair way away, you won't get a penalty for that'.

This is the mother of all melts, Hall of Fame stuff really. Amusing with his conspiracy theory, but we certainly haven't any luck whatsoever. Interestingly though, we got some favourable decisions going our way in the CL against Man City with European referees.

"I'd actually forgotten the Palace away game when I listed the decisions that have gone against us. I'll put a different slant on it. Mane doesn't get booked for 'diving', instead he gets a penalty which would have been the correct decision. Then he gets a free-kick before the hand ball for a foul that is given all over the pitch as a matter of routine.
As for needing to be told by Riley to "f**k these scouse bastards" I don't think they need telling, I think they're perfectly happy to do it of their own accord. You think these clowns don't get together and talk amongst themselves? You think they don't have the same prejudices that people from this city have had to endure from all and sundry for the past 40-50 years?
You call it sheer f***ing bald incompetence but why does this incompetence weigh so heavily against us? Shouldn't it even itself out? How can a team that attacks like we do and has scored twice as many as it's conceded have twice as many penalties given against it as for it? It just doesn't add up. And when they're caught with their pants down like Moss was against Spurs, when he clearly didn't know what the f**k happened so just made the decision he wanted to make, we get f***ing bizarre explanations that are clear bullshit and it all gets brushed under the carpet yet again.
I agree with your second point, we are far too timid, but then you say "weak refs can get away with shafting us, because we wont do anything about it" so the implication is there that they know exactly what they're doing, you're basically backing up my whole point.
Your final point about a reason nobody is quite sure about, well I'll give you a reason. They don't f***ing like us. And they know we don't f***ing like them. We're different and see them for the c**ts they are. Do you seriously think any of those clowns at the FA want to see Liverpool Football Club succeed at the expense of United, Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs? And I hate bringing Hillsborough into these sort of arguments but there's another massive factor in all of this, they were exposed as the incompetent, corrupt buffoons that they are and they wont like that one bit.
this football club and it's supporters have a history of winning against the odds, when the cards are stacked against them, and we're having to do it every single game we play in this country. It baffles me how so many people don't seem that arsed about it."

Moreno getting beaten repeatedly down his side, hope Robbo never gets injured
Watching that game makes you realise how much better Robbo is than Moreno. Also it highlights how much better TAA is going forward than Gomez. Gomez probably better defensively but the amount of space Gomez was in a lot of the time and he never really used it like TAA would.

I wonder if Klopp would go in for Sessengon? Could provide competition with Robbo at LB and would be a great backup to Mane at LW. Only problem is it would cost something stupid like 30mil.

As for the game, disappointing to draw from the position we were in. West Brom are fighting for their lives though and we were very much in cruise control. Clearly thinking ahead to bigger games.

We're still in third, clear of Spurs and Chelsea so I think top four is pretty much in the bag unless we absolutely capitulate which I dont think we will.

Absolute phantom foul though for their second goal. It's never a free kick and then they whip in a good ball. We are gonna have to be better than that against Roma.

Salah just keep scoring. Congrats to him equaling the record for most goal in a 38 game PL season. More records lie ahead for him. Three more to get the 42 games season record, one more to catch hunt and 6 more to catch Rush.
