Stoked we've finally got the Moreno deal sorted now. The Spanish M's to be our full backs for many years to come!

Interestingly enough though, supposed Spanish football specialist David Jaca said via twitter that Moreno would only be a solid player. He likened him to a Nacho Monreal type, just ok. He did however say he thought Manquillo could be an elite talent.

Hats off to Ian Ayre, it's been a superb transfer window

Had we gained Sanchez (i still think we should have been in his ear pre World Cup, instead it was old mate Wenger) it would have been PERFECT

Disappointing about Kelly. Before his ACL injury he was a top prospect but hasn't gotten back to the same level since returning last year.

Great deal getting Moreno for 12m. Better than Shaw and half the price.

Does this mean Johnson is staying now that Kelly is gone?

If Crystal Palace let Kelly develop solely at CB, I think he still has it in him to be more than just a serviceable player at this level. Was always much more suited there rather than RB.

Very, very happy with the Moreno deal.

Great to finally get the Moreno deal done.

Now we just need that one extra striker and we are set for the season.

Be interesting to see is Kelly and Toure leave in the next couple of days. Toure is good business but Kelly is a bit of a bummer. Just too many injuries.

ripped this from someone on another forum who ripped this from someone on another forum :D

Take the top scorers last season

1 Luis Suárez Liverpool 31
2 Daniel Sturridge Liverpool 21
3 Yaya Touré Manchester City 20
4 Sergio Agüero Manchester City 17
Wayne Rooney Manchester United 17
6 Edin Dzeko Manchester City 16
Olivier Giroud Arsenal 16

Wilfried Bony Swansea City 16
9 Jay Rodriguez Southampton 15
Romelu Lukaku Everton 15
11 Loïc Rémy Newcastle United 14
Eden Hazard Chelsea 14
13 Rickie Lambert Southampton 13
Steven Gerrard Liverpool 13
15 Robin van Persie Manchester United 12
16 Emmanuel Adebayor Tottenham Hotspur 11

17 Christian Benteke Aston Villa 10
Aaron Ramsey Arsenal 10
19 Raheem Sterling Liverpool 9
Álvaro Negredo Manchester City 9
Danny Welbeck Manchester United 9

Samuel Eto'o Chelsea 9
Adam Lallana Southampton 9

Take out players who play for direct competitors and are unwilling to sell and our own players, ignore injured players (Jay and Christian) and it looks like we've gone for those who scored the most last season. Just interesting, that's all.

I thought the 'let's play Kelly over Johnson" shit was dead? Kelly was never the answer, though Manq and Flano probably are

I'm a big fan of Benteke, I think if we went for him as our 2nd striker he would score more goals due to the better supply he would get from our boys.

moight, if you wanna keep Johnson around as the back up instead of Kelly with his lack of caring, attitude problems and big wages then there's something wrong there.

no matter how crap you think Johnson is he is still better and more dependable than Kelly, who has played like 35 games in 8 years..

and seriously I do not give a shit about wages. I don't know why that's the new thing among Liverpool fans. that's for the owners to worry about. do other fans shit on about wages so much? like "oh yeah for 60k a week sign him up, but for 80k? no way!!" lol, what, you pocketing that other 20k? I think cos of the H&G era we feel we have this duty to be watching the books, to make sure the new regime don't **** up like the old one, who crippled the club by bringing in terrible players on gigantic wages. the new guys are OK, let them do the accounting I say.

Did I just read Rihanna the pop singer wants to buy lfc
Ri Ri will have to get in line behind LeBron James.

Moreno. Finally. Maybe the reason we were haggling on the price for so long is that he's so small. The club might be worried how he'll adapt to the EPL.

Apart from another striker, a decent up and coming GK would be great as well. Its been quite a window so far.

I will vouch for Rihanna buying Liverpool on the condition that she performs scantily clad pre game shows every match.
There's heaps of naked pics of her on the net, go rub one out and then reconsider.

Losing Suarez was shattering, but the way the club has responded and gone and bought top talent really shows where Rodgers has taken us to as a club. He's identifying his targets and getting almost all of them. Now a striker is all we need. Would you guys take Bony? Personally if there are now world class options out there (e.g. Cavani) then I'd go for him. I think he scored the most goals in the PL out of everyone in 2014. Proven goalscorer, could be the perfect backup/impact sub.

I would take Bony provided he's available for around 15m or so. Swansea apparently want 25m and that's just too much for a striker who will play second fiddle to Sturridge. If we're gonna spend that much we should just spend 15m more and buy Reus who can play as a striker and/or attacking midfield/winger.
