"The Reds have not made a contract offer to Samuel Eto’o. The 33-year-old, who is a free agent after leaving Chelsea, has been considered as a stop-gap prior to Origi’s arrival at Anfield next summer.
But his age – and his wage demands – means Liverpool are currently pursuing other more attractive options. They would only look to Eto’o in the closing days of the window if their striker search has been unsuccessful."
