How can we blame injuries when we have Adam ******* Lallana and Rickie ******* Lambert coming off the bench? It's a disgrace how we're back to losing to minnows.

I miss you Luis.

To be fair Lallana was good 2nd half

Borini on the other hand was comfortably worst on ground in the 2nd half

There's just nothing you can do, nothing at all, when you keep defending like this. It's been 3 seasons of this shit, it's purely down to Rodgers and the coaching staff

Unacceptable. Can we get Carra in as a consultant for a couple of weeks or something to sort out this shambles? We might as well stand still when defending set pieces, this team literally has no idea how to organize themselves to defend them.

If this club starts Borini ever again im done.
Lucas is done, unfortunately injuries have caught up to him by the looks of things.
Defensive mistakes cost us 3 goals again today, will it ever ******* end?
$20 mill for Lovren who is defending like a League 1 player.
60%+ possession doesn't mean shit when it's in the ******* back half passing the ball around between your defenders.
Not 1 offside, not one run in behind the defenders, absolutely o movement up front, I can ******* defend that.

I think unless Sturridge is up front with him, Balotelli hampers us going forward. He doesn't move, he just stands there expecting the ball to come to him. Make some runs and make some spaces for your teammates for goodness sake

But I guess we knew what we were buying into

We have problems in almost every area of the pitch atm and it's shocking

We're gash.

Utter gash.

Calling it now. We arent going to finish top 4. Too many problems all over the park.

But at least we have Champions League for one season. So that will be fun.

That's what Balotelli does, he's class on the ball but he's not a line breaker. That's why his form dropped off when playing as a lone man for Milan. He's not Suarez, not sure what you were expecting.

Game felt like the Hull debacle of last season. We were outplayed and outfought by an average team.

Six games this season and we have ranged from ordinary to downright awful in five of them.

I just don't understand the defending. Individually, the players are all capable, experienced internationals. There doesn't appear to be anything unusual about the defensive system/s they are being asked to play. And yet we continue to make elementary defensive mistakes. Something is not right.

I blame Hodgeson and i wish Sturridge would only go to England for the world cup and euro cup, this injury has come far to early we needed Sturridge for the first 1-2 months to ensure that the new signings up front could learn our game around him but due to injury we are playing with 3/4 up front being new players hence why we have absolutely no fluidity going forward except when Sterling gets on the ball.

I did say I guess that's exactly what we knew we'd buy into, but didn't know the disconnect between him and the style would be THAT great. He has done pretty decent but it has still stuck out like a sore thumb

But honestly Rodgers has to put his hand up and admit blame with the defending that has become terminal

It all comes down to the fact we had the most potent striker in the world and we didn't do enough to retain him when he wanted to leave. So when we agreed to sell him we used the money to buy half the Southhampton team. We saw it as an opportunity to get rid of a loose cannon who was going to miss games anyway, Barcelona saw it as an opportunity to get the best striker in the world and would be patient in the suspension period. There's the ******* difference. History will show that the 2013/14 season was a flash in the pan for Liverpool FC, and even that had a tragic ending albeit we made CL, even if only for just one season. I don't know how many times I've said it, if you want to be a force, you got to be bought by an entity or someone who has a bottomless pit of money and where money is not an issue, not these ******* American sports management companies who are keeping an eye on the bottom line that we keep looking to.

We spent a truckload of money in the summer yet we're relying on players like Lucas and Borini.

Long way to go in the season obviously but it all feels very depressing at the moment.

Hard to laugh at United when we're just a shit.

In fact those Manc campaigners only need to draw against Leicester and they'll move above us to tenth on the table. Yes that's right, we're currently battling United for tenth.

Problems everywhere:

Goalkeeper: Useless, hapless, clueless. When does Valdes sign?

Defenders: Full backs are alright, but Lovren is fast reaching donkey status, he is like a younger Kolo, shouts the most at others but panics the most when the ball's near him. Having him as your defensive commander is like having Tony Abbott as your prime minister. Sakho and Skrtel are getting worse and worse as well, but nowhere near as bad as our 20 million defensive saviour

Midfield: A massive elephant in the room called Steven Gerrard, slow, physically exposed, man marked by Downing and ******* Downing monstered him, DOWNING. Rodgers has to grow a pair and make a call on him, he is a liability at holding mid, because he no longer offers any defensive game there

And the creativity in midfield is a grand sum of zero

Forward: Sturridge pls. Borini and Lambert are not good enough, Mario is a square peg in a round hole and Lallana is class but likes to play it slow. We have morphed from the fast direct counter attacking force to a slow ponderous static turtle
