Can argue that we've bought in two strikers who don't fit in the way we play

Both are old fashion big man that wants the ball to feet and aren't mobile (in Mario's case he kinda just literally stands there waiting for the ball to come), when we were all about endless movement, running the channels and pressing people ragged

Lallana seems better central as a no.10 but he has no pace, so he can't really do what we did last season.

Lovren is just terrible. Lyon chased him out of their club for a reason, he is a liability with the amount of mistakes he makes

I don't know how Rodgers can look to fit them all together as an attacking unit when they all are looking to play different ways, and he still has to sort the defense out, and he won't because it's been two and a bit years and it's the same ol' shit

Rodgers definitely need to change the midfield formation, Gerrard doesn't offer much as soon as he is man marked which causes Lovren to be a hero and go long past the midfielders. Our box to box mids aren't world class and Rodgers expect them to be flexible which they aren't is asking too much of them.

Solution in the mean time imo is to play Coutinho deep with one of Henderson/ Gerrard so that way there is more flow in the mids to provide for the attacking guys. Last year Suarez was able to create for himself but Balo, Borini and Lambert needs supply from the midfield.

The problem is Gerrard, he's arguably in the most important position in both defense and midfield and he is stinking it up. A complete liability right now, it's like playing with ten men

But he won't get dropped, he is 35 and we made him play full 90 mins for 3 games in a week, and he won't get dropped, he won't get subbed.

I would play Allen Henderson and one of Coutinho or Lallana until Can is fit again, because teams are blatantly targeting him and he has no answer

What to do with Gerrard? We can't make him leave the club because he is just a club legend that needs to finish his career at the same club he started. But we can't afford to play him anymore.

We wanted Sanchez, couldn't land him. We let our next option Remy slip through our fingers. From that point on it was a case of beggars can't be choosers. I hope Origi improves in a hurry.

Lallana seems better central as a no.10 but he has no pace, so he can't really do what we did last season.
His lack of pace is a worry but he *will* get better once his fitness builds up and he settles in. Whether he improves to the level we need is debatable. I guess I'm being a smartarse now but when the transfer was first mooted I said we 're paying big money for a 26 y.o who's had 1 good season. I couldn't understand why the club was so keen.

Lovren is just terrible. Lyon chased him out of their club for a reason, he is a liability with the amount of mistakes he makes
It seems when a defender comes under the Rodgers regime he turns to shit. Where's the Sakho who was brilliant at the World Cup just a few months back?

Rodgers has to come in for some genuine criticism. 3-5-2 after 20 minutes? You wonder if he has any clue.

That's the problem i guess. He's getting a free pass because he's been playing for Liverpool for 15+ years and is still the captain. It's painful when a player you've watched since they first broke through, that's gone on to be a genuine world class talent now start to make you think if they've gone on a bit too long. I love him an' all. But ideally Rodgers should be giving the captaincy to someone else because we can't rely on him any longer. Damn, it hurt typing that. I jhust hope it's not too hyperbolic :p

You look at the movement of the Man Utd strikers and you realise how inadequate Balotelli's movement really is. It is a huge issue
I'm pretty confident in saying it's not a Rodgers signing, i personally don't really rate him. But i could've seen sense in signing him instead of Lambert but we ideally needed a mobile striker up front to somewhat replace Suarez.

It's not that Balotelli can't do that, can't tell me he has less pace than RVP, Mario's quick, but RVP busts a gut towards goal on the counter as soon as the ball's turned over. Mario just stands there, back to goal, waiting for someone to give the ball to him

BWAHAHAHA. Well if it's any consolation Man Utd have gone from 1-3 up to 4-3 down and now a Leicester pen and a manchester player sent off

edit: 5-3 now LOL

Maybe! Haven't seen us on the counter at all this season to know if Balotelli busts a gut to get into the box. :p But you're probably right. Just don't think he was the player we should've signed unless it was instead of Lambert. Should've gotten Lacazette etc, but easy to say behind a monitor.

I hope we can coach it into him, it feels such a waste with his dribbling ability and pace/power that he chooses to play more like Bony than Falcao

The only time we have looked good going forward this season was at Tottenham when we played Balotelli and Sturridge up front with Sterling as the number 10. I'm sure Rodgers will be looking to restore this set-up ASAP. Balotelli seems to need to play with a strike partner to be most effective.

FACT: David Moyes never conceded more than 4 goals in a league game as manager of Manchester United

BRING BACK MOYES
They're going worse under van Gaal so he can stay. :p Moyes must be having a quiet chuckle about it all now. 5 points from 5 games for that lot and they've played Burnley, Sunderland, Leicester, Swansea and they're only win against QPR. Even the most optimistic Man Utd fan might think they'll eventually start stringing some wins together, but by then their fixtures are going to include the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and other tricky fixtures. They've had a ridiculously easy start to their season and haven't capitalised. I'd be a lot more worried if i were a Man Utd fan than as a Liverpool fan considering the money they've spent and how shite they're defenders are (they're worse than ours comfortably) even you could admit that cooldude :p

Which was unfortunately met with this:

Precisely why i do not use Twitter. I don't care if you disagree with someone or dislike them. That shite is unacceptable but all too common these days from the safety of being behind a computer screen.
