Liked for the head line.

"It is fitting then that his own anthem is nothing more than a collection of syllables, bandied about in the cacophonous drawl more akin to the slant walk home from the pub than from the rafters of the Kop"

Loved it. Good read. How awesome was him scoring against Tottenham. So much to love about that game. I'm glad he touched on the Suarez reaction to that goal. I actually have a big fat grin on my face watching it again. :$

Really hope he makes a comeback for us. One of our best in 13/14 and sorely missed last season.

On that note q good medical team will surely earn us points by keeping the likes of sakho & Sturridge fit.
Have we got a new medical team for this season? I know the club doctor Zaf Iqbal was moved on, is that the only change we've made in that department?

Thanks jod, yeah he's alright now, my dad's heart basically stopped beating twice, first time 20 secs 2nd time 16, bit of a miracle he's still here.

Had 3 blocked arteries, two was blocked 98%, yet the GP was telling him he had no blockage anywhere and he was probably gonna be alright......... despite him constantly having heart pains. People like that don't deserve to be in their profession

Not sure we're going swimmingly until we buy a decent striker however ;)
That's amazing mate. As for the doctor, poor form. But im always a huge fan of second, third and fourth opinions.

Yeah we do need that striker to top things off. Surely we are working on that.

Watching it was great. Geez we were good that season and while I always smile when watching highlights, there is always a tinge of sadness. Sadness that we didnt get over the line at the very end and that Suarez then left. What a player he is and was with us.

Hopefully these signings put an end to the "lack of ambition" tripe.

"It is a dream for the Liverpool strikers to have that sort of service. If you can't score goals in a team with Coutinho and Firmino in midfield then you won't score goals in any team. They will create so many chances."

If we get Bacca and Kovacic or something like that, do you think Sterling might be doing a re-think at all?

Probably not cos he seems like a dick. But food for thought.
I hope he doesn't... the way he acted at the end of last season has left a bad taste with many at the club.
better off turfing him as he's only going to be a distraction if he stay's without penning a new deal, something we don't want to have.

No sources have us linked with Digne. Digne is apparently set to leave PSG. But nobody has said we are interested.

LB is an interesting one. Moreno first season was so/so and Enrique spends more time on holiday than on the pitch.

Benteke just won't happen, as much as the club wants to live in a fantasy land where Villa magically cave in and sell him for 20M.

Much rather Bacca anyway. That's if we can beat ManUre & Roma to the punch.

I think Benteke's agent would be "leaking" anything to anyone who will listen so he can get out of Villa for the best possible money. Liverpool wont buy him, not at that price and not for our style of play.

Benteke, I dunno, if you put him in a Chelsea or even Arsenal team I think he scores loads

Would he score as many in a Rodgers team? Dunno, what is a striker like in a Brendan Rodgers team anyway? Take Suarez aside, only Sturridge has been successful for us, and he's definitely nothing like Benteke. He's closer in style to Balotelli (not in effort, mind), and Rodgers couldn't get anything outta him

Plus he'll definitely cost 32.5 mil, Villa ain't selling him without someone triggering the clause

So yeah just buy Bacca for 20 mil

Straight from the mouth of Bacca's agent

“Sevilla are a good team who will play in the Champions League next season so it wouldn’t be a disaster to stay,” he said. “Carlos has other options to earn a lot of money in places like China or the United Arab Emirates but that would not fit in with what he is looking for.

“We are really looking at three things - number one is to have a happy family situation for his wife and son because he had a bad experience in Belgium. The second is to find a good team with a good project. Before he went to Chile, we wrote down a list of clubs that fit that description and Liverpool was on that list.

“The third question is the contract. He has a good salary in Sevilla but we know how much clubs in England can pay.”
So yeah, hit the clause, offer him good cash (more than other clubs) and see if he'll come, it is pretty simple, right
