Ugh.

Im just happy we're in a cup final. We just dont create anything. We need Coutinho and Sturridge back for creativity and goals. We just looked utterly toothless. So, so easy to defend against.

The only positive is the more gash we are the more likely FSG are to push the boat out a little on Tex.

Is it much different for other clubs?

City: Aguero, De Bruyne, Silva. The rest, meh.
Arsenal: Sanchez, Ozil. No sleep lost over the rest of the squad.
Chelsea: Willian only these days. Perhaps Hazard
Spurs: Kane, Alli.
Everton : Lukaku, Barkley.
For us it is Coutinho, Sturridge & Henderson. The rest are/could be expendable.
And Suarez carried us to within a whisker of a title on his back, with some help from Studge.

Remember how porous that defence was? (oh and still is...)

I care about most of our players and would be upset if we lost most of them, even the raw or perhaps not as great ones. Because I support the team. If I honestly didn't like 95% of the players, what would be the point?
I see it differently. I support the club not the players, it's about which players help the club the most in achieving its goals and if they don't then we can always change players. Was like that back in the days when we won leagues

Transfers are a part of football, players will come and go, even when Suarez was gone I wasn't upset. Sad that we lost a great player yeah, but it was inevitable that he would go

You support the team which is made up of the players. If you seriously can't get behind most players what's the point of watching? Sure it can be frustrating to support particular players some times but if you can't get any attachment to the majority of our players and see the team as basically a bunch of mercenaries then that sucks for you.

A football club is made up by a whole lot more than just the players on the pitch

I know it's AFL mentality to be more involved with the players on an emotional level but in football it's just entirely different, whether it's right or not. I think it's utterly crazy to act all one eyed and defensive over football players particularly with their astronomical wages and just how well off they are especially compare to say AFL players.

Liverpool football club is always LFC no matter how many players come and go and there have been many over the years, especially great ones, if you're gonna get attached by every single one of them I've seen for nearly 2 decades then I would've committed suicide by now

Even if Sturridge is available, rest him until the Cup final, Don't play him in any of the PL games. We need trophies.
The way the league is going more so than trophies we may need it for Europe qual

Particularly if it's a derby final which gaurentees Europe only goes down to 6

That was my exact thought too.

Still happy for the lad when I hear he's hit a brace or a hatty for the Catalonians.

imagine having someone with even half his ability playing CF for us now. Sigh
Ill always love him, I cant blame him for leaving. I really do hope in a couple of years, he comes back. Would be epic.

Does anyone know when he due back for his usually 2 or 3 game spell? He is worse then a tampon ffs!
Been in full training for weeks now and doing extra fitness work on his own. Just give him a run against West Ham FFS could almost win ge game in his own.

Settle down lads. Sturridge wont be fit to play in the final or any games. Let's be honest.
Klopp did say in his last update that "he's taken a big step forward" and he could return against West Ham. Previously Klopp had dismissed Sturridge returning pretty bluntly.

I remember people being quite excited when we were chasing Moreno haha.

(Not having a go, cos I never know anything about players before we sign them, but the contrast between the pre-signing optimism to the view once reality has set in is pretty funny sometimes)

Left backs are always the most disappointing part of any football team.

Once you accept this reality, life becomes infinitely better.

I think it was in comparison to chasing Bertrand and Ben Davies

Moreno has regressed as a player since he left Seville. Was far better going forward back then. People would give him more slack if he offered a threat going forward

Still he hasn't been terrible this season, has his bad spells yeah but no different to the other players, but with where Liverpool wants to be, we probably need a better first choice LB
