Sturridge is a lot better than I gave him credit for. Some of his tricky footwork was almost Suarez-esque that half.

And I'm glad we didn't put the ball out before our goal. I'm f**king sick of soccer players acting like 2 year old girls every time they skin their knee.
To be fair they are taught to do this from a very young age, it's almost second nature to them.

sturridge was grabbing that left thigh a few times throughout so hope he is OK for the 90 or at least to get us comfy! if i remember correctly, this is the end torres scored two at last time we got a win at this stadium..? i hope suarez bags two to help us get the same thing now. we are playing really well johnson a force as usual, couple of enrique's balls were a bit too far in front, if he delivers a peach or two it might be our day..

what a goal from our number 15, and agreed, those skills were as good as our number 7

That was absolutely amazing!

Now we either need another or to hold on. Need to eradicate these defensive lapses that have been popping up when we least need them

I watched Lampard volley a goal against Newcastle, old school Frankie style last night and thought can Stevie still do it?? DO IT?? ofcourse he can. Perfect shot. What a kick.
The most complete player to play in the EPL. Champion.

Just what the hell is he thinking?

Should be 6 points from the last two away games against top 5 sides from our first 60 minutes in both, now I'll be ecstatic if we can get 4.

Downing's footwork fools himself.

Going to bed too angry to stay up.
Im sick of this shit. We arent a joke of a club.
Brendan Rogers the onus in on him to bring top class footballers to bring back our club to the top.
Im over these goals we concede when we are ahead.
I dont find this funny anymore and im sure as hell anyone working at the club doesnt either.
Giving up possession 20 metres from goal is unacceptable.
Conceding leads repeatedly is unacceptable.
I mean Auguero won the ball before it hit the penalty box???? ****in joke

******* sick of this, this defense and keeper has cost us far too much this season

Need a new keeper in the summer, too, I'm sorry Pepe, you don't deserve to be here, you're on big money and you've been shit for seasons

I think Pepe's ****ed mentally at the moment. I'm in the support Pepe camp but it's hard when this keeps happening every couple of weeks. Needs to refresh mentally.

Incredible match, we're on the way up but something needs to happen RE: these mental lapses. Two more goals as a result of our concentration. Great signs though.

Two ripping strikes cancelled by defensive errors. How many points have we dropped this season from lapses?

All this talk of adding another striker and attacking players to complete the squad in the transfer window... our defence needs to improve a heap if we are to be taken seriously

I know are few of you are mad and rightly so but were definitely moving in the right direction. Under Roy or Kenny would we ever be ahead at Arsenal or go a goal down against the champions away to come back and get in front. Sure both games ended in draws but we really should have just beaten Arsenal and City away, back to back. That is progress.

Right now defensive lapses are letting us down. If we can sort that out we are really going in the right direction. Sturridge has been a fantastic buy already and we still have Sterling waiting in the wings and Coutinho to see what he can do, those two will improve on Downing in the front 3. Hendo is really coming on too.

It's strange with our defence because individually Johnson, Enrique and Agger are all terrific defenders. Skrtel too, it's not all Pepe's fault so I dont think the improvement is going to come from buying players, just our system when we dont have the ball needs to be fine tuned.

Cracking match. Shame we didnt win either game this week. But IMO real positive signs that we are moving in the right direction. Our toughest three games left in the season now are Everton, Spurs and Chelsea and they are all at Anfield. We have a great run home. 4th is probably a stretch now but would love to close the gap and make it interesting and I really think we can.

Spurs have Arsenal at home then us away back to back. If they lose both of those, things tighten up real quick. Plenty of football still to be played.
