Reina has been a terrific servant of the club over the years. But can you honestly give an example from the past two seasons where he has saved us points? Because there are many examples of his mistakes costing us points. I'm sure we all love Reina but pretending he's of the same standard he used to be is just wrong, because he certainly isn't.
He has made a lot of world class saves over the last two seasons. You just dont remember them like you do the howlers. The howlers are becoming too frequent which is a worry. I still have absolute faith in him though. If he moves on id understand. If he sticks around, im happy with that. Jones is a number 2 though. He should not be starting any games if Reina is fit.

#4 v Middlesbrough my personal favourite. Never seen a player defy the laws of physics with the ball as often as Gerrard did at his peak. It got to a point where it was almost expected of him to score a world class goal every week.
#18 is my favourite and I reckon his best goal (and there certainly have been many from which to choose!). It was at Marseille in the Champions League in a 2-1 win in 2008. I don't think people realise just how hard that is to pull off, with the ball coming across you like that. Here is a video of that particular goal (couldn't find one with English commentary):

Yeah that was amazing. To hit it first time with that much power and accuracy while essentially running away from the goal is pretty special.

Did you have a little heart attack when you came across one of the "Liverpool Champions League Match Fixing Scandal" headlines?.... I sure did!
Thankfully I read on RAWK about the goalkeeper before I decided to go on the FSN website. But if it actually happened... My two most loved clubs ****** over in one day...

YNWA I guess, unless your name is Danks or The Weapon.

That goal is ridiculous. It's amazing watching that top 40 goals of Gerrard. He has scored over 150 for LFC now but to think that about a third of them are absolute screamers boggles the mind. What a legend.

England U21 4-0 Sweden U21, Wisdom (CB) & Robinson (LB) played the full game and did well but weren't really tested. Henderson showing he's far too good for this level (as a player with his experience and quality should be), another call up to the seniors probably not too far off if he keeps up this vein of form. He and Shelvey were taken off at half time with the score at 3-0. Shelvey scored 1 and Ince with a double, 1 of which came off the back of this ridiculous pass from Henderson:

Suso started in the #10 role for Spain U21 and provided the assist for their only goal in a 1-1 draw with Belgium U21, lovely cushioned through ball for Deulofeu. Good to see him getting minutes.

The one issue with Ince is that between now and the end of the season the number of clubs interested in him and his subsequent market value is only going to increase given how well he's playing, and if we were only willing to pay £4-5m for him with 18 months remaining on his contract then I wouldn't have thought we'd be willing to pay any more than that when he's only got 12 months left.

If we've got the money to spend in the summer then he'd be a good option for squad depth (assuming Downing is sold and we bring in 1 or 2 new 1st XI quality players), but if we have serious intentions of making the top 4 in the next season or 2 then he shouldn't be in our starting XI and I'm sure the amount we'll be willing to pay for him will reflect that. Either way, if we get outbid then it's not a huge problem because we'll still get a few million for him.

Hes better than over half of our current squad.
Dont think he would be a bench player.

Liverpool consider move for Newcastle forward Hatem Ben Arfa

• Frenchman could be used in exchange deal for Andy Carroll
• Newcastle interested in re-signing £35m England striker

Brendan Rodgers will consider a move for Hatem Ben Arfa this summer as the Liverpool manager looks to capitalise on the uncertainty surrounding the midfielder's future at Newcastle United and the prospect of Andy Carroll returning to St James' Park.
Rodgers is a firm admirer of the France international, who has made no secret of his desire to play for Paris Saint-Germain. Ben Arfa did not push for a move in the January transfer window, as he recovers from a hamstring injury, but Newcastle's resolve to keep the player is likely to be tested at the end of the season. The 25-year-old has a contract at Newcastle to the summer of 2015 and would command a sizeable fee.
Ben Arfa is older than all the signings Liverpool have made since Rodgers became manager and Newcastle's asking price could prove an obstacle, but their interest in re-signing Carroll could work to the Anfield club's advantage and an exchange deal.
West Ham United have an option to buy Carroll at the end of his season-long loan but Liverpool dropped their demand for a guaranteed move to remove the £35m striker from their wage bill in August.

Not sure about that, remembering that Shelvey went down to the Championship and was scoring goals for fun at Blackpool last season too (he was on track for 20-25 goals from midfield had he stayed for the full season). Ince looks a talent of that there's no doubt, but it's not a certainty that he will be able to transfer his current output to Premier League level. In terms of our attacking options I'd have Suarez, Sturridge & Coutinho starting ahead of him, and it won't be long before Sterling surpasses him either (if he hasn't already).

On top of that you have a few very talented youth players who will be coming through in the not too distant future and are not much younger, or much of a step down in quality than Ince. These players (unlike Ince) haven't yet had the opportunity to go out on loan to show what they're capable of on a weekly basis. I'd be interested to see how some of our better 19-20 year old's would perform if they were sent out on loan to the Championship. It would seem a waste if for example we sent Suso on loan for the rest of the season and he outperformed Ince (he was always considered a far more talented player than Ince until this season), yet we still spent over £5m bringing Ince back in to the club, pushing Suso down the pecking order.

In any case, what I originally said was that if we are serious about making a push for the top 4 in the immediate future then a player like Ince shouldn't be a regular fixture in our starting XI (ie we should be looking at better quality players than that), he should be considered a long term prospect and our financial outlay for him should reflect that, so I can't see the club getting involved in a bidding war for him.
