Skrtel looks like a costly turnover or pen waiting to happen. Feel sorry for him going out like this, gave the club good service.

Stewart again looks like he's not quite up to the standard. Cout been a bit selfish. Benteke, Pirlo, Moreno, Ibe and Ojo all solid.

Good result.

I thought Firmino was good when he came on. The tekkers on him. Speaking of Tekkers, I thought he put in a good shift, excellent assist with the cusioned header too.

Welsh Pirlo was good also. Stewart was a bit sloppy tonight, giving away the ball quite a bit. Usually he is pretty tidy. Not particularly effective or a game changer but he's tidy. Tonight he wasnt and when he isnt at least being tidy, then he's a liability.

Ojo and Ibe on the wings were good. Ojo's closing down to create the second goal was excellent and will certainly please Klopp.

Mignolet had one absolute worldie of a stop.

Back four was a bit shoddy. Moreno did well to cover when Ighalo broke through once. Skrtel did make one cracking block. But he plays too deep and played a couple of players on a few times. We know he loves to drop deep though. It's nice for him to get some games in though before he leaves in the summer.

I thought Brannagan was quite good when he came on. Really bright. Good movement and his passing was crisp, quick and on point. He's a good little player.

Also if anyone is confused. This is how the rest of the season pans out.

If we lose the EL final, we have to finish top 6 to qualify for the EL again next season.

That can change if Man City finish 4th and United 5th and United win the FA Cup. That opens up 7th spot for EL qualification and we can then finish top 7 to make in back into EL.

Of course if we win the EL, that is all null and void.

As for league position, we can still finish top 6 but we need West Ham to drop points. If West Ham dont win against United and we win our last two games. We will finish 6th ahead of West Ham and Southampton.

Im hoping for a draw in the WHU v United game. It means we can leapfrog WHU and Southampton if we win out but it also means City will finish 4th and deny the manc campaigners CL football which would be funny.
