All this top 4 rubbish is crap.

We have no Europe. If Leicester can win the league, we sure as shit can. No reason why we shouldnt be aiming to win the league rather that just hope for top 4.

I'd obviously love a cup run and to actually win one of the cups. Been too long between silverware plus it would be nice for Klopp to stick something in the cabinet early in his reign.

As for the squad. It's probably a bit bloated for what we will require next season as it's a very light schedule. It's also a bit samey.

Neat, tidy, decent engine, gets stuck in. That should be the description of just one of our players.

But who am I talking about above? Am I talking about Hendo, Joe Allen or Lucas? Or am I talking about Milner?

Do you get my point?

Liverpool submitted a bid for Sadio Mané last month and are determined to land him. #lfc (Paul Joyce)

Ew, just ew, and according to Bascome we had 7 mil rejected for Chilwell, Leicester wants 10. We have to just stop getting fleeced by English clubs, instead of paying upwards of 40+ mil for both Chilwell and Mane, just spend less than half that on Hector, most our problems solved

EDIT:
Joyce: Leicester are demanding £10m for Chilwell, who has not played in the Premier League. Liverpool remain hopeful of landing the player, but Hull's Scotland international Andrew Robertson has been discussed as an alternative.

There is no way Jurg would even know who the hell Andrew Robertson is til like now, I smell the committee at work

We should be targeting winning the league. That's what Spurs will be doing. And Chelsea. And United.

If our ambition is to make top 4 and the teams we're battling with for those spots all have ambitions of winning the league then we're already at a disadvantage.
Obviously we all want to win the league but that's not what I expect will happen.

I expect 5th and would love 4th. Anything higher would be awesome.

I just don't understand it, after the success of Leicester and the likes of Kante and Payet, we decide it's gonna be a good idea to blow the same amount of money on an inconsistent player that was almost the amount spent on Leicester's league winning team. 30 million + for Mane, how many equally good players can we get with that amount of money if we're actually smart?

Then we've been crying about the lack of leadership and experience within the squad so we go out to target a few overpriced young left backs when our first choice left back's a dummy

This really doesn't fill me with confidence, this might well work this season, but it'd more be akin to a broken clock being right twice per day. I just don't understand our transfer business

And I think we're downgrading next season if we let Allen go and buy Zielinski

Top 4 and a Cup Trophy? I guess the Liverpool boom-bust cycle has kicked off.

I'm sure Klopp would be aiming to improve the squad, especially the younger guys, and try to sneak into Europe and recruit a couple of worldies next summer to challenge for the title in 17/18. I reckon a lot of loan deals will be done before the season starts.

I still think we should buy him coz we all know what he is capable of if he gets things right, but he's definitely off the rails atm

But if he wants to sit out the year and leave on a free when he blatantly needs football then I think he's got it wrong and we're probably better off going for someone with a stronger mentality
