What a calamitous first half. We looked completely uninterested. Do the guys know it's a CL QF or what?

Slow, couldnt hold on to the ball and gave the ball away at will. Poor defensively and didnt even have a shot on or off target.

No idea why Keita was taken off. He's been the best of the midfield three. Wijnaldum and Fab have given it away at will! Wont do his confidence any good but Thiago had to come on because of his ability to pass and hold onto the football which the rest of the team look like they cant do.

TAA and Phillips having a nightmare and Kabak almost cost us a goal.

Nothing positive about that first half at all. Look like a completely different team to who played Arsenal off the park on the weekend.

Need a goal and cant concede again if we are any chance to turn this around in the second leg.

I mean forget about any of the tactical aspects of the game, the players didn't work hard enough. Real players were first to every 50/50 ball, they were always running to make space and give an option. Players didn't want it enough. TAA absolutely ghastly beyond two good tackles. Mo probably the only one who can hold his head high after that garbage.

This is why I think we're better off cashing in on Nat, he has been in good form but too slow to play at CB for Liverpool in the long term

They've just hoofed it over him all game and he can't keep up
Absolutely, he has built up a little price tag. We should cash in. He's done well as an emergency but he's not good enough at the very top level. He's just too slow.

TAA saved a goal and gave away a goal.

Cant blame Phillips. The reality is he was a second division player in Germany last season and always is going to struggle against quality movement and pace.

The only real way to combat it in 2nd leg is to press the hell out of them and dont give them too much of the ball. Not sure how much our players will be up for it in an empty stadium.
