Trent is one of the best players I have ever seen play for Liverpool. He’s at that level now, he’s just amazing.
He's already IMO the best RB ever to play for us and I have him penciled in in an all time Liverpool side. He still has another 400-500 games to play for us too.

Thoughts:

  • Commentators barracking for Arsenal was tedious in the extreme
  • Jota continues to enhance his reputation as someone who can be completely uninvolved in a game and then do something special. Two wonderfully taken goals
  • Very good performance from Curtis Jones, but could someone buy him a left foot?
  • Best performance by VVD for a while
  • Trent got better as the game went on, Robbo still very much Robbo
  • Chelsea again, the most played fixture of the 21st century in English football
  • Don't have high hopes for a really good performance on the weekend against Palace, as many will be asked to back up again. Hopefully Ox is right, Minamino should start, and probably Milner. Maybe Neco up front?

Just go as strong as possible, there is a 2 week break after the Palace game. Get Alisson and Minamino in the side, and as you said hopefully Ox is an option on the bench.

Thought the commentators were a joke. I thought it was AFTV commentating haha.

The last big effort before the troops return from AFCON. Get three points there and it will have been brilliant from the lads while Mane, Keita and Mo have been away.

So Arsenal away on 27th Feb is now postponed due LC final. Anyone know when Leeds home is going to be played? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Mid week is free prior to the weekend of the League Cup final. Assume it will be played then.

Senegal and Egypt in opposite sides of the draw so if they win out, they will meet in the final.

Guinea on Egypt's side and should they win out, they can meet Egypt in the semi's.

If our boys teams win of course. Guinea have probably looked better than both Senegal and Egypt in the tournament so far.

Rule must be imposed. Our boys are not allowed to tackle each other

I haven't seen anything yet so for the time being I am assuming it was planned.

Finnan was underrated, battler.
But yeah TAA needs to play 300 for the club, and automatic legend.

Any Matip injury updates? Or was it a planned substitution?

It was not planned but a precaution, perhaps Konate gets a start next game.

Ox was also running yesterday and Klopp is praying that he gets a training session in before the Palace game.

In that case no chance Matip starts against Palace. Just too much of a risk with his injury history. Has a two week rest to get himsf right which is handy.

Good thing we have two pretty great back up options in JoGo and Konate.

In better news it sounds like Thiago, Elliott & Ox will be all fit for the FA Cup 4th round. I would expect us to line up against Cardiff as follows:

--------------Kelleher-----------

Neco--------Konate-----Gomez------Tsimikas

------Milner----------Thiago----------Ox

---Elliott-------Bobby-------Taki

A pretty reasonable side.
